Apricot flavouring
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

A nice ale. It is very malty with sweetness and some mild fruity notes in the finish, in my opinion needs more hops for a pale ale

Pretty good beer, but not nearly as unique as the description claims. Sweet and slightly malty, a bit fruity - almost overripe fruit flavor. Easy to drink and fairly well balanced. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not quite Pale, not quite good, not quite sure why it’s in the fruit beer category.

Bottle - Pours medium amber, orange tint. Fruity nose with some cereal and spice like cloves/ginger. Flavor of bread, citrus, ripened melon, plum... lemon. Hop finish, and dry finish.

This pours a cloudy golden yellow color with a slight white head. The aroma is weak with a touch of wheat and citrus. The taste is light, thin, but a bitterness of apricot fruit. This might have some potential if they got rid of the twang taste it has but this is their flagship beer after all. Not quite the pale ale flavor you would expect to find.

Fruity on the nose, apricot is what comes through heavily. I generally don't like the fruity beers a lot, but this one is quite well done. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Shared 12 oz. bottle. Pours golden with an orange tint and a white head. Aroma of apricot. Taste is artificial apricot and watery lager. Yuck.

Aroma: very fruity, apple juice like; Appearance: dark golden with thin white head that dissipates quickly; Taste: odd combination of peach or apricot with bitter, unpleasant finish; Palate: light bodied with short finish; Overall: not good; would not buy again.

Poured from tap dark amber with minimal head. Aromas of apricot citrus and perfume. Taste is bitter medicinal not all that great.

Draft. Looks like a lager, almost no head. The aroma is extremely strong, like perfume, and the taste is also extreme but not necessarily in a good way.
