COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Apricot flavouring
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

Tasted from the bottle, bought @Zephyr, Huddersfield, on 03/11/2012. Pours of amazingly clear amber color, with a 1cm white head. Aroma is mild, mostly having notes of grassy/flowery hops. Taste follows the same pattern as aroma, but also having a sweet tone in the end. This symbiosis of taste&flavour works well for that particular beer, making it pretty drinkable. Recommended. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from bottle into a pint glass: Pours amber with a one finger white head. Aroma of citrus, slightly floral, and a bit of Belgian funk. Taste is sweet, citrus, honey. Light to medium body, high carbonation, not a lot going on. It’s OK.

"Notes: Peach and/or apricot are the main players in the aroma. Very light hopping...very light beer for that matter. Would be pleasant enough as a summer brew, just not much going on - but what’s there is pleasant."

Taste its overly herbal. No citrus or piney hop character. Malt character is more sugary than mouthful. Better on tap.

12 FLOZ. ($8.99 for 6 pack) tastes like rotten apricots. I vile taste that caught me off guard and continued to ruin me. I could not finish this beer is tasted so off. I understand some tastes but peach or apricots always a bad taste for alcohol. avoid unless you like gross shit.

A: clear; honey colored; 1 finger white head that receded quickly; no lacing; Poured from a 22 OZ bomber into a pint glass. Aroma- has a nice aroma, with a slight fruit scent, apricot with a malt mix Taste- A mild fruit beer to me, I can taste the apricot, the beer is slightly dry with a mild hoppiness Palate- medium bodied with moderate carbonation and a dry finish Overall- An OK beer I have had it before but it doesn’t thrill me. I would drink if again if offered but I wouldn’t seek it out.

Bottle. Fruity aroma and taste. Easy to drink. Like better on draft. Good beer for a chick.

Pours clear amber with low white head. Aroma is floral and lightly perfumey, light bread and citrus. Taste is sweetish and slightly floral again, some elderflower and honey in the finish. Light, smooth body with average carbonation.

Copper color with not much head. Aroma of fruit and earth tones. Taste of apricot, hops, vegetables. Don’t like the aftertaste, and i am not a fan of apricot. Resisting the urge not to pour down the drain.

Transfer from BA review on 1-5-13- Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance – Served an orange amber colored brew with a small white head. The head faded rather fast to leave a tiny amount of lacing on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is sweet and consists of fruit, candied sugar and caramel. The fruits are of the lighter variety with aromas of pear, peach and apricot present. Taste – The taste begins with the lighter fruits that were detected in the nose. Peach and apricot are the most pronounced and are mixed with a subtle bready flavor. As the taste advances some caramel and candied fruit flavors with a more grainy like flavor come to the tongue. It the very end, a light floral hop taste joins the rest leaving a mostly light colored fruit flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer was on the lighter side in terms of its thickness with a carbonation level that was rather average. The two when combined with the fruit and sweet flavors make for a nice very easy drinker. Overall – Overall a quite tasty and easy drinking brew. It’s fruity and sweet, but not really cloying. A nice session style brew.
