COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Apricot flavouring
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because thereís never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

Delicious, light and fruity. Wonderful and refreshing as I’ve come to enjoy from all Magic Hat brews. Definite apricot/citrus flavor.

Tap in Columbus, OH. Golden beer, decent white head. Aroma has a hint of the apricots that are described to be in this beer. Flavor very floral with a hint of the apricot. Little malt flavor accompanies the beer. Very smooth going down. To me, this is an example of a well-balanced fruit beer. Too often I taste all fruit or no fruit. This has a pleasant touch of the apricot.

Out of the bottle, it pours a whitish-gold color with a thinner head. It has a metallic-apricot flavor tempered with generous hops. It has a medium-bitter flavor. almost like an IPA/Apricot Ale hybrid. It was interesting and drinkable - probably my favorite in the Magic Hat line. For those that like fruity beers, this is a good one. For those that don’t, well, keep moving.

A medium colour of caramel pairs with basement aromas to bring this lovely beer together as one of the best overall semi mainstream beers. Yum

Subtle apricot flavour, a little nutty (?), little hops in aroma.amber, clear, minimal head, medium sweetness, medium body, average carbonation, long finish. This is my go to beer when I want something refreshing and pleasing. A great session beer if you can handle the sweetness.

An excellent Pale Ale. I absolutely love the apricot aftertaste. Could drink these all night.

Nice ale with a hint of apricot. Light enough to get absolutely hammered, but strong enough that you don't want to. Excellent "anytime" beer.

Nice apricot flavor to start, finishes a tad bitter. Interesting, just not my taste.

Poured with a small white head, was a golden yellow color. Smells of yeast and tasted strongly of apricot. This is a light beer, with minimal carbonation and a bit oily with a short finish. I was pleased overall with this beer, seems like a good beer to drink throughout the day on a long summer weekend.

Bottle. Easy to find. Kind of hard to put your finger on to describe. Was the first beer I had had with apricot flavoring added and while I didnít notice it at all in the beginning, the more of them Iíve drank Iíve noticed them become very distinct. Has a citrusy hop note common with most American Pale Ales (which I think is what they refer to in their description). May not be the perfect example of a fruit beer perhaps but seems to want to blaze a bit of a trail of itís own and does it very well.
