COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Apricot flavouring
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

12 oz bottle: Pours a golden yellow with a very slight white head. Some lacing. A very nice aroma with strong notes of apricot and maybe a little wheat/yeast or citrus. Tastes of wheat, apricot, another fruit I can’t put my finger on (pear), and hints of honey. I’m somewhat surprised by the level of carbonation and fruitiness here, but overall an alright beer.

Bottle. Pours golden amber with small, quickly dissipating head. Lightly carbonated. Caramel, cereal, banana aroma. Taste is caramel and fruit, then lightly hop bitter, slightly sour then apricot, and finally spicy. Not bad, just not great.

Citrus aroma with a mild apricot finish. Pours an orangy amber color with minimal head. Smooth drinking with no offensive after taste. Not bad.

This "ok" in a bottle. The first time I had it was on tap, and I liked it better. Not bad, not great.

Bottle - amber in colour and a swiftly diminished head - a fruity-honey flavour that is really hard to describe - there’s a subtle bitterness to it

From the looks, the bottle beer pours clear but little head. Aroma gives a great fruity smell. Taste is light and crisp. Surprisingly heavy as it goes down and leaves the pallet with a malty taste you want to wash down. Overall it is a fav of mine and I continue to order it anywhere it is on tap.

Aroma is cherry/berry - almost like a twizzler! Pours a really nice light brown/dark amber color with a white head that dissipates with minimal lacing. Tastes like cherry and hopps with a good amount of bitterness. Palate is good. Overall a mid-range craft brew.

Bottle in VA: Really sweet, fruity aroma. Not finding many hoppy smells at all. Transparent gold color, fairly strongly carbonated. Tastes very much like dried apricots. Actually not much maltiness or hoppiness in the taste, but for some reason that seems to make this one better. Overall, its good stuff.

This is a very nice and unique beer. Very refreshing in my opinion, and a great summer beer. Okay, here’s the weird thing....drink it with dry Cheerios (not combined). I’m not one for pairing beer with food, and this is off-the-charts odd, but they really work well together. If you don’t like it, don’t sue me, lol.
