COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Apricot flavouring
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

On tap at The Pub in Whitewater WI. Couldn’t get over the mild, but unmistakable apricot taste. Think I liked it, but for not sure more than one a session.

Unexpected taste for an "almost@" pale ale. Super fruity, in a startling at first but pleasant way after the surprise wears off. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

First tasted at Woody’s woodfired pizza in Boston in 1999 the magic of this beer has captivated me ever since. The apricot flavor is just the right amount to be enjoyable and not overpowering. A good beer for a summer day with burgers or pizza. Available in bottles and cans but inside the bottlecaps you get to read funny bits of wisdom with each beer. My favorites: Dogs are King of Everything. Does killing time damage eternity?

A good sturdy fruity beer that has a good amber color and a nice fruit aftertaste.

12 oz bottle: Pours a golden yellow with a very slight white head. Some lacing. A very nice aroma with strong notes of apricot and maybe a little wheat/yeast or citrus. Tastes of wheat, apricot, another fruit I can’t put my finger on (pear), and hints of honey. I’m somewhat surprised by the level of carbonation and fruitiness here, but overall an alright beer.

Bottle. Cloudy golden color, white frothy head that goes away quickly. aroma of apricot, peaches, apples - fruity - with a touch of hops. Smells almost like a cider. Flavors come in quick, short bursts all overpowered by the sweet, tart apricot. A tiny bit of hop at the end, followed by a strange tangy aftertaste. The mouth feel reminds me of champagne - tickling the tongue then dry.

Citrus aroma with a mild apricot finish. Pours an orangy amber color with minimal head. Smooth drinking with no offensive after taste. Not bad.

Bottle. Pours golden amber with small, quickly dissipating head. Lightly carbonated. Caramel, cereal, banana aroma. Taste is caramel and fruit, then lightly hop bitter, slightly sour then apricot, and finally spicy. Not bad, just not great.

This "ok" in a bottle. The first time I had it was on tap, and I liked it better. Not bad, not great.
