COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Apricot flavouring
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because thereís never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

Cute packinging hides a really shitty beer. I am baffled by the positive reviews. A bunch of beer snobs?

Very good ale with formidable flavor on its own. The hints of apricot do not interfere with the ale flavor. Very smooth taste and finish. Has a much thicker body than Pyramid Apricot - a comparable, yet inferior beer. Great packaging adds to overall feel.

I enjoy fruit beers, but the flavor of this one didnít adequately mask the medium-high alcohol content. Thereís certainly a bet of ethanol aftertaste, which is a drawback for me. Drinking beer shouldnít at all taste like doing shots in my book.

Color is murky gold, nose is very strong, flavor is distinctive, fruity essence with a distinct flavor, finish is much more subtle than taste for a nice well rounded beer.

on tap in NY - Rich gold color, with a thin white head. Aroma is apricot, with a slight apricot taste that fades nicely. The maltiness of this beer leaves an awesome crispness in your mouth. Overall, nicely done.

It has a nice orange like color to it. The taste was very plain to me, I thought there was going to be more of a Apricot flavor to it, but it was just a hint of apricot flavor in the aftertaste. Overall a very plain tasting but drinkable beer.

Beautiful lacy head. Aroma: Apricot-peach mixed with something not so nice. Something about the smell, itís like cooked meat. Taste: apricot, peach, grapefruit and just a touch sour. Aftertaste lightly lingers. Now 1/4 gone... Canít get myself to finish it ... Too many great beers out there to be consuming this ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Smooth beer with a hint of apricot. There really is nothing like it and itís probably my second favorite Vermont brew next to Long Trail Ale. The first sip kindof suprises you because you donít expect it. Very tasty.

Thick foamy head when poured. Orange fruity taste. Very creamy texture and soft carbonation make it a good beer for a relaxation day.

I usually donít like fruit beer, but I do like this. unlike the unimaginable torcher of miller chill, this really is brewed with the essence. it really is like a pale ale hybrid. some people rightfully canít stand it as it is weird. but itís a weird beer that works.
