Sweet initial that immediately fades to a bitter finish that dries you out. Not one to drink if you’re parched. 17thfloor (1519), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 14, 2008 Pours a dark golden with a few large bubbles and a very small white head. Big apricot aroma with some sweet caramel malt. Nice English like pale ale character, fair amount of hops and caramel malt, with moderately sweet apricot flavor... pretty straight forward and not bad. The base beer is not a weak ale at all, but rather just full enough to not get completely overwhelmed by the fruit. Medium body with nice carbonation. jasonp (1514), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA

Flavor has notes of raspberries, strawberries and some caramel. Ends watery with no aftertaste. Moderately sweet, no bitterness detected. Medium body with a smooth texture and lively carbonation. No lacing or head retention. Drinkable but extremely boring. dmac (1510), Toms River, New Jersey, USA

Had a few (6 pack) of these at party for my friend when he returned home from Iraq and they were far better then anything else that was offered that night. Strykzone (1505), Wood River, Illinois, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 24, 2009 A three finger sized head is light gold in color and dissipates slowly. Beer itself is golden with light cloudiness. Moderate carbonation. A nose full of sweet fruit with a hint of funkiness. Flavor has less fruit than the aroma but it is still prominent. Some tart hops also add bitterness and dirtiness. There is a vegetable taste that doesn’t help. Occasionally a malt profile tried to pop up. Hops never asserted themselves. Fruit faded mid glass. I’m not sure what this beer tried to do but it ended up doing almost nothing well. SuIIy (1504), Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, USA
