Apricot flavouring
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because thereís never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

Interesting... an ale described as a mystery beer? I tasted a fruity wheat beer more than an ale but it did have some characteristics of an ale. I believe Magic Hat collaborated a fruity wheat beer with an ale and this is what you get. A beer that makes you wonder if youíre drinking an ale or a wheat. I tasted Apricot and Peach flavors.

Fruity on the nose, apricot is what comes through heavily. I generally don't like the fruity beers a lot, but this one is quite well done. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Shared 12 oz. bottle. Pours golden with an orange tint and a white head. Aroma of apricot. Taste is artificial apricot and watery lager. Yuck.

Aroma: very fruity, apple juice like; Appearance: dark golden with thin white head that dissipates quickly; Taste: odd combination of peach or apricot with bitter, unpleasant finish; Palate: light bodied with short finish; Overall: not good; would not buy again.

Draft. Looks like a lager, almost no head. The aroma is extremely strong, like perfume, and the taste is also extreme but not necessarily in a good way.

Odd that this doesnít have too high a rating, I liked it. good presence of hots and other tastes to it, I didnít know what this was cause it says itís an IPA and it is not. So itís "almost a pale ale" but to me it taste like a small twist on an old classic. Which, since ipaís can tend to be similar, it nice

Draught. Very light and fruity. Solid malt backbone that comes through after the Turkish delight! Its a bit odd all said and done though.

12 oz bottle shared with ebone1988. This one is going to be a flaming turd. The pour is a darker gold with a thin white colored head and a small collar. There is a bit of lace left on the glass. The aroma is garbage. There is a strong wheatiness to it that just isnít good. There is no discernible hop, and there is a huge lack of fruit. For what this one is promising itís just turning out to be a wheat turd. The flavor is equally bad. There is a little bit of raspberry in it, but itís just garbage. Itís sweet and medicinal, and there is no apricot at all. The mouth feel is thin and slick with a lack of carbonation and a medicinal aftertaste. This is just a piece of junk. Damnit.

Bottle shared with koleminer20. Aroma is old, fruit punch syrup, raspberry, malt, not good. Appearance is light golden with a touch of red, off white head, clear. Taste is...wheat. Medicinal raspberry, metallic, not much else. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, almost no carbonation, metallic aftertaste. Overall, damn 1001 Beers list. This one sucks.
