COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

Very fruity aroma....very interesting. Pours clear amber, with a light head. Almost too sweet...but addictive. Lots of fruit flavor....almost beers equivalent of Juicy Fruit gum. Clean on the palate. Not an everyday beer, but unique.

Sweet, hop-filled aroma. Copper color, with noticeable floating particles. Taste compliments the nose, revealing a lush blend of sweet hops. Sits comfortably on the palate. A highly recommended session beer; especially good for summer evenings on a crisp night. One of the better sweet beers on the market.

Draught in Mass Krug’s at Studio Square and many other places. This beer is dangerously drinkable and is a very safe choice to keep you drinking. It lacks any major elements to make it an amazing choice, but is a popular choice for me and friends.

bottle poured into a pint glass - golden color with a fruity smell. it has a refreshing and fruity flavor to it. the first sip reminds me right away of Goose Island Blueberry Ale. i can’t pinpoint the fruits that went into making it but it’s good.

I am not a fan of fruit beers, but I have always really enjoyed #9. A great session beer, available all over (at least near me). Pours a orange/brown with a moderate head that dissipates quickly. Smell of malt, and apricot extract. It is a nice balanced mixture of aromas. Taste is a solid pale ale with a hint of apricot that is well in balance. I think most fruit beer have difficulty wiht this balance, I like that #9 is a beer first, with a hint of apricot. Mouthfeel and Drinkability are solid for a session beer. I like these in the summer on the patio at the bar.

On tap at Winslow’s Tavern, Greenville, NC Fruity taste but rather smooth; understated.
