COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Apricot flavouring
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

I love this beer!! A summer favorite if I lived on the East Coast. It blows the pants off any apricot brew I have tasted. It is a perfect blend of hop and apricot AND it’s above 5%. A bit yeasty and stronger fruit than malt.

I truly enjoy Magic Hat #9. The subtle hints of apricot make this a great warm weather drink. Since I spend a lt of time in Vermont I can drink this a lot and I do.

Better on draft but the bottled is also tasty. Dry and sweet, nice cool light fruity taste. Good summertime brew :-)

Had this one on draught at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Geneva, Illinois. Deep, cloudy amber color with a thick, tan head, a very refreshing fruity and bright hoppy nose, flavors are brassy, with pronounced fruitiness but complexity of baked bread and malt. Excellent balance, with a very smack-your-lips tasty finish. Outstanding.

I have to disagree with a lot of reviewers on this one. Love this beer. Great aroma with the citrus. Not an overpowering flavor but a great blend for an apricot pale (or should i say not quite) pale ale.

Magic Hat #9 proves to be a refreshing beer. Drank this through 18 holes at Bali Hai Golf Club in Las Vegas and won $360. Definitely will be back for more! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sabor suave pero definido, afrutado , con aroma muy agradable, un agradable sobor after que no domina pero se percibe, muy fresca y recomendable.

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2010 Pours golden orange with average white head. Aromas of citrus and caramel malts. Taste is somewhat complex, grapefruit and apricot fruitness mixed with caramels and yeast with a hint of a bitter hop finish. Very enjoyable, I look forward to trying this again. Re-rate: found this on tap in Port Huron, MI. Boosting the Aroma, Palate and Flavor by 1 point each, Overall by 2. Excellent beer.

Interesting sweet, fruity aroma tied to coffe-cake scent. Full off white head on very slightly fogged, honey yellow beer. Taste is decidedly sweet but not cloying. Apricot flavors apparent in the finish with well established bitterness. Nice body. Very good ale.
