mhoster56 (34), Fleetwood, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 28, 2006 This "fruit beer," which it is not truely at all, is rather lousy. In most pubs this beer is sold as a lager or a brown ale. From the moment it touches one’s tongue, an immediate spalsh of perfume is noted. The uninformed novice may understand that scent/taste to be "fruitiness." I fouthrightly disagree. The odors and flavors are much more flowery than fruity. I would imagine a better flavor could be attained from drinking old rose water from a vase. This beer leaves a soapy coating on the roof of the taster’s mouth as well. Overall, considering the pricetag on a pint of this in Philadelphia is over five dollars, this is a beer to avoid.
TheBeerMaster (100), Little Falls, New Jersey, USA Oct 12, 2008 Bright gold pour with a white head. Apricoty with some vanilla elements. Really good. The caps are cool too. kassner (184), Wexford, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 12, 2008 On tap at magoos. Dirty blond with slight haze, slight odor, earthy malts with clean bitter finish, Hint of vanilla thornecb (1144), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA Oct 9, 2008 Pours bright gold into a shaker. Bright white head recedes to skim surface. Apricot aromas. Apricot upfront, middle and back. Dry sour apricot finish. tubehead (10), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Oct 8, 2008 Out of the bottle, it pours a whitish-gold color with a thinner head. It has a metallic-apricot flavor tempered with generous hops. It has a medium-bitter flavor. almost like an IPA/Apricot Ale hybrid. It was interesting and drinkable - probably my favorite in the Magic Hat line. For those that like fruity beers, this is a good one. For those that don’t, well, keep moving. s_creigh (201), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Oct 6, 2008 Poured a hazy straw, maybe very light copper color. Soapy looking white head with some lasting power, no lacing. Smells somewhat dirty and fruity. Some hint of apricot, a little of that dirty smell and a bit tart. Very middle of the road for me, not really my style and I would not buy again.
