Apricot flavouring
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

Tallahassee, Fl. - Market Square Liquors, 22 oz bomber. One of those beers I always thought I had rated - had it plenty of times on tap - only bought it because of the price ($2.49 - glad I did!). Dark golden pour, sticky, thick white head.Fruity aroma -hard to describe - some peaches, yeast, a hint of spice. Flavor has some buttery notes, a hint of spice, faint citrus notes. Mouthfeel has a pleasant spritziness to it. Remionds me somewhat of a Saison.

12 fl oz / 355mL bottle into a pint glass. Served cold. Aroma: Sweetish fruit. Pears, definitely pears. Unique aroma. Appearance: Clear rusty color. White head that lingers a bit, but eventually fizzes away. Decent lacing. Taste: Definite fruit again; I still mostly get pears from it. Nice malty sweetness. Palate: Light body. Maybe even slightly watery, which is sad. Overall: I’m sad about Magic Hat being bought and sold between big businesses. I’m worried that it will lose its soul. I enjoy #9. I think it’s a fun beer. I worry about its future though. Hopefully, the future is bright and this brew will be around for many more years, and won’t ever turn to macrotrash.

Bad beer. Even worse company. The lawsuit is ridiculous. They should care about the taste of their beer more than ridiculous lawsuits.

(Bottle) Clear golden, good head. Lovely intriguing aroma with hints of exotic fruit overlaying malt and candy sweetness. Light body with good carbonation. Like the aroma, the taste has some intriguing exotic fruitiness and some distinct candy notes well integrated into a nice light malt pale ale, with some hop bitterness in the finish. I was really impressed by this beer - excellent.

Bottle after finals week, thanks to Greg. Pours a golden orange appearance with an off white head. Somewhat spicy, apricot, stone fruity, citrusy, herbal aroma. Quite malty flavor with a lot of fruity notes- pineapple, apricot, apple, and some yeasty notes. Not bad.

Bottle - 12oz. Golden body with an average white foamy head. Well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with some sweet and herbal hints. Taste is slightly dominated by malty flavors. It carries candy notes and ends with a short bittersweet finish. Ordinary.

More IPA than fruit beer as description indicates. Heavier than most in this category but still refreshing. No as apricot full than suggests.

Gold body with a bubbly white head. Grainy, bran, light apricot, and dried leaves aromas. Flavor is mildly sweet, rather dry. Body medium with fine carbonation. I seem to remember this being sweeter and more apricot aroma...

translucent golden color, thin white lace, bland pale ale smell with some spice. Overall a nice taste that stays even throughout.
