COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

Aroma is a bit fruity, with some earhty hops. Nice orange body. Flavor is of tropical fruit (apricot apparently) woven into a good American pale. Easy drinker and tasty.

Funky tasting brew. Soft palate with subtle citrus undertones. Copper in color, maybe even in taste. Not my favorite?

Pretty good for a pale ale. A little bit nutty with slight hops. Good tasty pale ale that is drinkable but not piss water.

Tastes smoky and nutty to me. Unique. Tastes like it smells. I have drank several times from both bottle and mason jar.Maybe a little over rated by people that have referred me to this beer.

Poured into my CCB pint glass, golden color with a 1 finger head that disapates almost instantly, a little lacing. Aroma is all apricots, taste follows the nose, nothing real complex here, just a smooth refreshing fruit beer. Great for the summer, this is a good beer, just not outstanding. Sometimes you just want an easy drinking refreshing beer, this is one of those beers

On tap at Paxti’s on Lombard Street. Extremely fruity but with the sweetness to back it up. Good for a fruit beer.

An enjoyable offering from start to finish. Subtle flavor on the nose, good balance and nice finish. First beer from Magic Hat, and a good one - Prost!
