Commercial Description:
Created just for the Feast of Fools Variety 12-Pak and available nowhere else. Batch 372 is our medium-to-full bodied amber salute to the famed Scotch ales of yore. Its mildly toasted malty aroma precedes a clean malt-dominated flavor with a touch of roasted chocolate and just enough hops to prevent over sweetness.

Lightly hazy deep amber-red pour. Tiny eggshell cover. Very toasty, bready and grainy nose. It develops a caramel aspect that manages not to be too sweet and remains quite bready on the tongue. Good clean flavours supported by a soft roastiness that highlights drinkability. Big bubbled carbonation, rather intense. Light-medium body.

12 oz bottle from the Feast of Fools winter pack. Thick, lasting flat cream-colored head topping a clear maple-walnut body...aroma primarily nutty, like a really strong, fresh brown ale, with a bit of breadiness and toasted oats thrown in...creamy-smooth body is mostly sweet with some nice nutty oiliness, light piny hoppiness, a bit of cherry...very pleasant, my reaction is similar to the good Doc’s, very quaffable and clean without being spectacular.

The Lure:
Lenient peaches, candied apricots, citrus fruit and strolling berries all coexist in harmony with the caramel malt sweetness. Simplicity well-rendered.

The Festivities:
A body proportional to its weight allows flavorful drinkability. The citrusy hoppiness akin to pink grapefruit works well with the fruity sweetness and cushiony cereal. Appreciable balance is reached, and thirst is relieved.

Transcendence:
An autumn wind’s blowing in the pub.

Surprising citrus hop nose offers suggestions of grapefruits, oranges, lime with subdued malt character. Clear amber-copper coloured body with a low off white head that recedes to a thin cover and thick ring. Citrus hops play well with round brown malty sweetness and fair finishing bitterness. Medium light body with moderate carbonation. Sampled on tap at American Flatbread with beerbuzzmontreal, MartinT, muzzlehatch, Rastacouere and Yowie.
