strong hop aroma, with like i think an apricot hint to it. dark orange colour, medium cream head, pretty hoppy for an amber ale, is that the simcoe hops that give it in my mind an apricot taste? body seemed a bit thin. has a nice hop aftertaste.

UPDATED: SEP 9, 2008 Came with the summer sampler pack I purchased (it was the "mystery beer"). Pours a brownish, amber color. Small head and a little lacing. As the case with a lot of Magic Hat beers, it was pretty sweet and fruity. Maybe a little too sweet but still a solid beer. A nice amount of hops to go with a citrus fruity flavor make it enjoyable and pretty easy to drink. I’d definitely have it again.

The appearance in this beer is a amber, maybe even dark amber, with a nice head. It’s hops aroma are great and noticeable in the best of ways. It has great flavors, a little bitter, but great all around.

Batch 374 pours a dark amber with a large, fizzy light-brown head. Fair lacing with a fully diminishing head. Aroma is of harsh, heavy hops with spruce notes and a kick of sweet. Initial taste is moderately sweet, turning to a light bitter finish with long duration. Light to medium on the palate, we’re left slightly oily with soft carbonation. Message on cap: "Let’s start a nation on permanent vacation"

UPDATED: DEC 26, 2006 One dimensional but pretty great. Very heavy on the fresh pine and a bit of malt to back it up. Wonder how alcoholic this was? Basically registers as a reddish IPA and not much more or less else. And who needs anything else, frankly?

From Night of the Living Dead variety pack. Clear copper color with a large creamy off-white head. Sweet citrus hops aroma. Sweet floral hops flavor with some citrus in the end.

(Rating #659)

I liked it -- big, bold, slightly bitter, slightly smokey. Balenced, but not over the top difficult. Its nice.

Lightly hazed amber ale with a thin lacing white head. A pungeant hops in aroma, with pot like qualities. A light caramel malt in mouth, with nice funkey hops action, light grapefruit, and pinhous notes. Very nice body, oily mouthfeel. Good, pleasing and surprising. August 26,2006 at McGregor’s, Henrietta, NY.

Poured from bottle. Strong, slightly harsh aroma of hops and grass. Pours a bold, opaque amber. Flavor very hoppy and very floral. Also notes of rye, grass, apricot, some kinda veggie. This is no typical amber ale. More like an American Pale Ale. For all its flavors, still quite drinkable. Mouthfeel gets creamy as you drink. Finished nicely.
