On tap at HDG. Deep dark orange in color with a deep white head. Malty hoppy caramel aroma. Ciitrusy notes. Fruity malty flavor. Orange, peach and grapefruit notes. Rich flavor. Medium bodied. Finish is bitter. Drinkable. Nice beer.

Nose is super piney caramel, peaches, apricots. Flavor is peach/orange/pine hop. RIch caramel malt. Very bitter finish.

Pour dark orange with a deep off white head. Aroma is malty with stale citrus hops mixed in. Malty throughout. Hops are not too intense but there for sure. Hops don’t jump out at you like I was hoping for, but the beer is somewhat big.

(Rating #565)

Vermont Brewer’s Fest 2006 (draught) and also draught pint at American Flatbread, Burlington. Medium-dark amber, faintly cloudy with a smallish lasting head and a bit of syrupy look to it.....interesting touches of smoke and cinnamon waft through the big citric PNW hops, touches of caramel malt reside in the background....warming alcohol is faint in the nose, a bit stronger in the flavor but not really overbearing, adding merely a liqueur-like quality to the very sweet peachy-apricot character....this is malt-dominated, not a hop monster by any means though there is some fair bitterness at the finish along with a light tarry quality.
