4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 JoeMcPhee (6967) - Toronto, ON, - APR 4, 2010
I’m clearly an outlier here, but that’s okay. Pale golden beer with a thick sticky white head. The nose is really bright and intensely citrusy. Lemon and grapefruit with a bright pine flavour. Very lean malts and an assertive bitterness that reminds me of PtE, although it’s not quite that hoppy. Warming brings up a little bit of orange peel as well. A little bit of hoppy spice among all the tropical character. Pretty damn impressive.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Sammy (6130) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 22, 2010
Draft at Delaney’s. Cloudy golden with a good white head, lacey. Bitter is OK, its a high IBY and its orange hop. Orange hops in the aroma. OK drinkability. Par DIPA.

Draft. Orange pour with some white head. For an 100 IBU IPA, this is a hop let down, some pine and tropical fruits, but too malty for my blood.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Rciesla (5498) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - MAR 17, 2010
Draft, why does magic hat always find a way to fuck up beer. Pours an orange body with a white head. Mild citrus, with some light honey and herbal hop tones. Light honey citrus with a sweet hoppy citrus bite to finish. Its not that this beer sucks it sucks in comparison to every other dipa with 100 IBU’s dam.

Sour white cranberry and apples. Sweet, sour, and bitter. Kindda gross but a bit enduring. Has a stale piss lager finish.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 beerbill (2939) - Laurel, New York, USA - FEB 28, 2010
Growler filled at Dave’s Bellport Beer & Cold Soda. Pours a clear fairly brilliant gold with a thin-moderate white head. Pleasant aroma of citrus and pine along with some mild malt. The flavor is similar with some mild malt along with some pine and citrus. Moderate bitterness at the finish. No problems.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 esjaygee (2628) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 19, 2010
On tap at Sugar Maple. Dark amber with a medium off white head that leaves moderate lacing. Aroma of floral hops, pine, citrus and sweet malt. Doesn’t taste nearly as well as it smells, was a bit disappointed with this one, a common theme for me with Magic Hat. Light pine mixed with citrus, grapefruit and caramel along with some vegetation. Finishes bitter with minor warming.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 j12601 (4434) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - FEB 6, 2010
On tap for growler fills at Half Time. Pours a clear light orange gold with a thin white head. Some citrus up front, with a bit of grain behind it. Medium bodied, grainy and rather empty. Finishes up with a light bitterness. Drinkable, but not memorable.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 BrooHa (108) - New York, USA - FEB 5, 2010
Growler from Bellport Dave’s! Drank it in a pint glass. So what? Nice copper color with off-white, moderate head. Piney hop smell. Initially sweet with funky, sharp, pine bitterness in finish. Pretty nice. Not sure what the ABV is but it "feels" like about a 7? Drinks well though I might opt for other brands of this style.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Maverick34 (1423) - New York, USA - FEB 1, 2010
Draft from Waterfront Manhattan. Pours a paleish orange amber. Aroma is floral hops, actually the taste was not nearly as bitter and hoppy as I’d anticipated, not on the same level of a Stone Ruination or Dogfish 90. Pretty good though
