NOT an IPA!!! Learn to label your beer correctly and maybe reviews would be better. Tastes like Heineken. Trust me.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Binnys single rack. Pours an orangey brown with a white head. Very cloudy. Aroma has toffee and pine. Taste is of pine and thick caramelly malts and some resin. Medium bodied and muddled. Magic Hat continues to not impress. IPA nothing to the level of the band ....

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle to half-pint glass (shared with the Mrs.). Looks solid; a cloudy (malty) dark orange with thin off-white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells malty, mildly hoppy, and a bit sour. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. The sourness is unexpected, but it is refreshing. Belgian yeast? Hope it isnít just my bottle.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Great hop fueled aroma. Very cloudy dark amber color. The taste starts off with the fruitiness of the hop, Then turns to an almost coffee bitter of the hop. Very dry finish on this beer. Finally something other then #9 available on the west coast!

2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Cloudy, medium amber color. Good head. Minor initial aroma. Slight malt profile. Little to no hop bite. Smooth taste...for a lager, not an ipa. Not a bad beer, just a bad ipa.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
bottle. Poured hazy medium amber with a small creamy white head. Big citrusy nose. Light-medium body, prickly carbonated mouthfeel, tart puckering finish. Flavour of grapefruit with a touch of spice, too acidic.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
I normally enjoy a good ipa and this is no exception. Pours murky reddish brown. Aroma is citrus and fruits. Taste is hops. Thatís pretty much it... Grapefruit maybe, hints of orange peel and a touch of malt. Overall itís just a hoppy little ipa... It pairs well with the rest of the beers in the summer sampler because of what a break it is from the insanity that is some of the beers in this package....

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
7/07/2011: Magic Hat Blind Faith I.P.A. on Tour... Aroma: Big, citrusy aroma with a bit of nice toffee maltiness. Appearance: Dull. burnt orange color with a crown of beige-colored foam. Flavor: Orange-grapefruit aroma with a twist of bitter citrus peel/pithe; floral finish along with a good amount of pine sappiness; slightly dry finish. Palate: Medium to medium-full body; oily texture. Overall: Wow, this is a nicely hopped IPA with a generous bitterness; flavorful, sessionable, and quite enjoyable.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Type: 12-oz. bottle
Glass: Karl Strauss pint glass
From: BevMo in Mission Valley North (San Diego), Calif.
Price: $15.99 for a Summer Scene variety 12-pack
Purchased: July 26, 2013
Consumed: July 29, 2013
Misc.: Part of the I.P.A. on Tour series (I guess?)
Poured a dark caramel amber color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy khaki-white, almost straight white, head. Decent amount of sporadic foamy lacing along the sides. Great retention on the top all the way down.
Smelled a mix of hops and fruit up front. Got Cascade hops, citrus hops, floral hops, pine, lemon, lime and faint grapefruit.
Tasted a bit earthier and raw than the smell. The bitterness and 6.2 percent ABV is apparent as well. Got floral hops, citrus hops and even a bit of resin hops. Also pine, lime, grapefruit rind, tangerine and tangerine rind. Seems much stronger than 6.2 percent.
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Bitter, abrupt finish.
A decent beer for the style. I kept trying to remember that itís not an American IPA, but an English IPA. The basic #9 was the best of the four in this variety pack.
