In all fairness this probably deserves a re-rate at another time. Had it at the end of RAF and i was so sick of one-dimensonal hoppy beers that this one just pissed me off. Is it too much to ask for some malt flavor in an IPA? I mean seriously...

Great body, very creamy, full, and malty, just a wonderfully rounded texture. Excellent citric hops balanced by a load of caramel malts. Nose is citric and sweet, holds good promise. Excellent stuff.

Has a much fuller body than #9. Aroma still enojys the same aspects of a #9, but has a nice IPA character to it.

I enjoyed this so much. Started off with some nice citrus aroma. I don't know if we got some really fresh bottles or what, but these were so hoppy from the front to the back - a nice citrus/piney hop - about the same intensity as Buckeye Hippie (80 ibu?). The malts provided a very thick body of moderate sweetness. The finish was thick and resiny at the back of the tongue. So enjoyable.

Not my favorite IPA, but a good one. Taste a little like a blend of an English IPA and an America IPA. It is malty an bitter up front in a way that reminds me of an English IPA with the Earthy type qualities to the bitterness. On the finish, it is some what piney and acidic, in a way that reminds me of an American IPA, which probably comes from the dry hopping with cascade.

RAF. Not my favorite IPA. A decent amber color, but head just sucked, to be honest. Huge bubbles that quickly disappeared leaving an almost still beer. The aroma was sort of interesting smelling as much like a german pilsener as an IPA. The malt was rather refreshing as it was not too thick or sweet. The hops provide a bit of citrusness, but nothing too mind boggling. A little disappointing, but I guess not too bad.

Nice amber hue. Nice head diminishing by half. leaving good lace in it's wake. Subtle sweet, hoppy aroma. Sweet and floraly on the mouth, finishing sweet and not too bitter. Solid

UPDATED: NOV 2, 2010 Rerate Still a solid IPA, solid bitterness, aroma more spruce-like this time around Original 3.8 Initial impression - baby diaper aroma - but the flavor bowled me over. Nice even tempered Cascade hoppiness to it that I enjoy. Nice scotch-like amber appearance. Really enjoyed this one. Flavor - good typical IPA flavor.

Citrus, obvious dry-hopping. Not sweet and a little woody. Tart and thinnish finish -- needs more mouthfeel. Fun label, brown-orange beer. A little disappointing.

Hoppy but not a significant bitter flavor. Well rounded but not very complex.
