Commercial Description:
Editor's note: Yes, the bottle calls it a hefeweizen. The beer, however, is brewed with a (fairly hefty) portion of lemongrass, which contributes a significant aroma and flavor. Thus we have deemed it a Spice/herb/vegetable and not a German Hefeweizen, which should be free from adjuncts (other than hops).

Bottle. Part of a Magic Hat mix pack. A good wheat beer but not one that I was really that into.

12 oz bottle: Pours a cloudy golden yellow with some carbonation and a thin head. A nice wheat aroma with lemon. Tastes like its aroma - wheat and lemon with a very slight hint of citrus. Goes down very smooth but not watery. A solid hefeweizen - better than good but not quite great.

Pours a pale yellow color with a small white head. Light aroma of wheat and not much else. Thin body with some bready, wheat notes. Not much more to say. Not offensive and kind of refreshing.

Poured slightly hazy yellow with a thin, white head. Some nice lacing. Aroma was earthy, slighly citric. Light body. Earthy wheat, clean palate. Slightly acidic on the tail end. A nice, drinkable quencher.

Bottle->pilsner: Pours a large, frothy, off-white, lasting head atop a heavily particulate, dark yellow body. Aroma of straw, average hops, and dough. The body is medium, texture gritty, and the finish astringent. The flavor’s duration is average, all being moderately sweet, acidic, and bitter.

Found this bottled in a multi-pack at Binny’s in St. Charles, Illinois. Cloudy, light orange pour with a filmy, white head, nice nose of orange, banana, hazy, grape and cranberry. Slightly spicy flavor, cinnamon and clove, with a great deal of citrus, grapefruit rind, and wheat. Balanced, slightly dry finish. I enjoyed this beer, whether or not the snobs don’t care for it is their own loss.

12oz bottle. Hazy gold with a lasting white head. Light wheat, spice and faint lemon aroma. The flavor has more lemongrass which joins a light wheat sweetness as the totality of the flavor. Light bodied and simultaneously creamy and rough in texture. This is pretty bland; I was hoping that at least the lemongrass flavor might be a bit more vibrant. Pretty easy to throw back once you get bored of it though, I’ll give it that.
