Commercial Description:
Editor's note: Yes, the bottle calls it a hefeweizen. The beer, however, is brewed with a (fairly hefty) portion of lemongrass, which contributes a significant aroma and flavor. Thus we have deemed it a Spice/herb/vegetable and not a German Hefeweizen, which should be free from adjuncts (other than hops).

Cloudy light yellow pour topped by a half inch of head. Smells of corn, lemon, sulfur, fruity. Light tart lemony flavor, some wheat, cereal. Slightly astringent mouthfeel. Not great yet drinkable and refreshing.

Poured from a 12oz bottle and served in a weizen glass. This beer poured an almost clear golden with a one-finger thick head of off-white foam that slightly lasted. Some light lacing was left behind. Didnt look like a hefe. The aroma consisted of wheat and a solid dose of lemon. Didnt really smell like a hefe. Very mild aroma. The flavor included a very tart lemony note and some faint wheat. No esthers or yeast notes. Didnt taste like a hefe. The mouthfeel was light-bodied and had moderate carbonation. Bland. Please stop calling your average American wheat a hefeweizen.

Bottle in trade from ROBORB. Thanks! Pours a cloudy, thick and bright yellowish orange color with a nice white head. Smell is wheaty predominantly followed by a touch of yeast and lemon, but little in the way of spiced characteristic as from a hef yeast. Taste is very strongly wheaty and cracker like with some enjoyable honey sweetness to it. Some light lemony flavors but the sweet wheat flavors linger and dominate. Medium bodied with normal carbonation. Not really a true hefeweizen flavor wise, I would say, but I really enjoy this as an easy drinker. Thanks for this one!

12 oz bottle. Pours golden yellow with a dark swirl of yeast and a finger and a half of whitish head. Aroms is spice and citrus, and after a few sniffs, all that lemongrass makes it smell more and more like herbal tea. The flavor is essentially the same, lemony and herbal with a very soft malt backing. Clean finish. Ok, but a little bit boring.

This was ok at best. The lemongrass was a noble idea and certinally shows through the beer. The Aroma was pretty faint, some yeast, some citrus. Flavor starts of like lemon dish soap, but gets a bit better. The flavor certinally features a lemon grass however there is a lightly roasted malt flavor as well. Not much else going on though.
