Magic Hat Circus Boy

Not a terrible hefe, but it was semi bland. It had a nice aroma, with a light flavor. It had some nice lemon taste but it was a bit overwhelming. I didn’t get to pour it but i imagine it being dull in color with a light cloudiness in a golden hue.

yeah - well I don’t care what they call it but something tasted off about this, I don’t know if it was the tap or what.

Cloudy amber in color. Didn’t enjoy this one to much. The lemon zest is what throws off the other malts and spices, or perhaps overwhelms them.

Circus Boy has a cloudy light golden color with a thin head that fades out to nothing. Its aroma is packed with wheat malts and has a pleasing citrus character. On the tongue you get lots of tasty wheat malts, neutral earthy yeast and a big shot of sweet, almost soapy, lemon flavor. The palate has a nice medium body and soft carbonation, giving it a fairly thick and smooth mouth feel. Overall as part of a mix pack I like it but I wouldn’t look for it buy itself.

Taste of lemon and honey, not a lot going on here. A refreshing head, German style, but mostly drinks like an herbal beer. Fun but not a Hefe, nor a recommendation.

Bottle. I like this beer a lot more than others I have had that contain lemongrass. It adds an extra layer of spicy/citrus to the flavor profile instead of being a main star as in other brews. This beer pours a hazy pale yellow in color with a strong citrusy/hoppy aroma. It has a medium body, with plenty of flavor and a fairly clean finish. Refreshing and good.

Its always nice to find a beer that is unique, something that seperates itself from others of the same style... this is definitely one of those beers. Has a very strong lemon scent and a powerful dry lemon flavor, definitely caught me off guard with the hefeweizen label.

bottle,nice cloudy color. A fruity nose with some lemon present. EAsy to drink but not that good. Probably wouldn’t buy again
