dankman38 (228), Somewhere in, Ohio, USA Sep 10, 2007 This beer is hard for me to describe, but I think I found a two wors that work; totally nasty. The nose, color, and, flavor don’t bother me at all but the finish reminded me of caster oil, not very appealing. zebracakes (1214), Washington DC, USA Sep 9, 2007 Bottle. Pours Hazy golden orange, white head. Aroma is yeast, tangy, citrus, spices. Flavor is wheat, mildew, citrus. Cartoonkhaki (1149), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Sep 9, 2007 Clear golden yellow with nice lacing of a white head. The aroma has malty citrusy aromas. Flavour is light and slightly grainy. Clean body that isn’t too watery. I wasn’t picking up too much from this one. Hmright (101), Annapolis, Maryland, USA Sep 8, 2007 Another lifeless hef. very generic taste, nothing special. Also like a Amber with a cloudy look and a sniff of fruit. patrick767 (2016), fort wayne, Indiana, USA Sep 4, 2007 bottle - Pours cloudy yellow with a thin, dissipating head. There’s a good aroma of citrus and spice. The flavor is bland, particularly at first. The blend of citrus and spices comes out much more as it warms. Light bodied with lively carbonation, this brew is a decent wheat beer. roder60 (1019), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 3, 2007 Pours a dark hazy orange color with some foamy white head. Aroma is very much citric hops, lemon and grapefruit, sweet grasses and a bit of pepper. Flavor is a bit watery but also a bit bitter and peppery, slight pineapple banana and yeast taste. Overall, pretty good. vyvvy (2023), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA Sep 2, 2007 Surprised to see the hate for this beer, I thought it was a fine brew. Poured hazy copper with a soapy white head. The aroma has some wheat, pepper and floral spices. Medium / thin body that is a bit prickly due to the carbonation. Starts with a smoothness from the wheat which is offset by sour herbal features that work for me. There is minor pepperiness that is far lower than normal for the style and no banana esters. The finish is clean and mostly dry with the spice, then there is a lingering citric taste. I like this one a lot. Thumbs up for a unique and refreshing summer beer. sneezey (110), Hackettstown, New Jersey, USA Sep 2, 2007 Strong flavor of the hops, citrus but more orange than lemon or grapefruit - supposedly lemongrass but not really as strong as advertised. I’m surprised folks saw the notes and took it to mean the hops were entirely substituted with lemongrass. But it’s the malt that makes this fall down - just not strong enough to dominate, and not too light to be secondary. Mistmatched.
