Sep 2, 2007 Surprised to see the hate for this beer, I thought it was a fine brew. Poured hazy copper with a soapy white head. The aroma has some wheat, pepper and floral spices. Medium / thin body that is a bit prickly due to the carbonation. Starts with a smoothness from the wheat which is offset by sour herbal features that work for me. There is minor pepperiness that is far lower than normal for the style and no banana esters. The finish is clean and mostly dry with the spice, then there is a lingering citric taste. I like this one a lot. Thumbs up for a unique and refreshing summer beer.

Sep 2, 2007 Strong flavor of the hops, citrus but more orange than lemon or grapefruit - supposedly lemongrass but not really as strong as advertised. I’m surprised folks saw the notes and took it to mean the hops were entirely substituted with lemongrass. But it’s the malt that makes this fall down - just not strong enough to dominate, and not too light to be secondary. Mistmatched.

Aug 28, 2007 Pours a hazy pale orange body with a small white head. Grassy and lemony aroma with a hint of white pepper. Tastes tart and lemony with some wheat cracker and yeast notes. Tastes like a decent pale wheat ale.

Aug 24, 2007 (Bottle) Pours a hazy dark yellow color, with a decent white head. Dusty, grassy aroma... with light citrus and some spice as well. Taste is very similar, with more citrus than you would typically find in a hefeweizen. Light body. Seems like a perfect lawnmower beer to me.

Aug 23, 2007 Yellow cloudy color there’s no foam at all. Citrus and banana aroma. There’s too much acidity in this beer.
