Magic Hat Circus Boy

on tap at Harry’s water taxi beach, LIC. color is golden orange, short creamy light tan head. aroma is sweet orange peel and lemon juice, wheaty. flavor is like a wit that’s already got a twist of lemon and orange rind. some banana-like wheat malt flavor with the sweet citrus, but still very light. herbal flavor I thought may have been hops but lemongrass makes sense. probably would go very well with spicy thai food. low profile and nothing outstanding but sure is fun to drink all day at the "beach" in Long Island City!

pours orange with medium head..aroma of wheat, banana, and citrus...flavor is dominated by jemon juice, coriander, spice...finishes metallic in nature...

Some floral and citrus hints in an otherwise non-descript pilsish nose. The brew pours a cloudy amber. The mostly diminishing creamy white head leaves no lace. The brew has moderate acidity with flashes of malt sweetness, the brief finish is both sweet and sour. The light dry body is lively with a crisp feel to the finish.

12oz bottle. Aroma: Citrus, light banana and wheat. Bland. Appearance: Darker golden in color bordering on orange. Was expecting more haze from a hefe. Flavor: Light wheat malt, banana, strong lemony citrus. What little flavor there is doesn’t work together. Palate: Light bodied and watery. Medium carbonation. Overall: Didn’t realize this had lemongrass in it. Now I know why it was so citrusy. Not a good beer, and another underwhelmer from Magic Hat.

Bottle. Nice enough looking hefe, hazy, golden yellow and a small white head. Not the most appetizing aroma of mild bananas, herbs, and weeds. There is some of that nice fruity, citrus flavor that good hefes shine with, but there’s a lot of unpleasant sourness and grassy flavor. Not my favorite style, but I can still enjoy a good hefe, which this is not.

hazy pale color- not the unfiltered look nor the filtered look- sorta in between. very subdued wheat characteristics- little lemon, citrus. lacks chewy body of wheats. almost seems like a mix of a lager and wheat. drinkable, but if you want a wheat, go elsewhere

Fairly bland, but with a touch of lemon. Cloudy, pale yellow color. Light body, but good head. Not my style, but refreshing.

Really not a fan of this bland beer. Poured excellent in color and head, but hardly had any taste at all. Maybe a hint of lemon and cloves. On tap at Smokin Joes.
