Jul 12, 2007 Bottle. This one came from Nate Vanderpool in a multi pack that he brought to the Belmont party. It has a wheat beer smell but this one is much more sour or tangy in the nose than just a regular weizen. Flavor is pretty nice. Refreshing and spicy with a sourness and a tartness that is interesting and different. quite light and nice. Good summer brew.

Jul 11, 2007 Thanks MP! Cloudy golden amber with small head. Slight citrus aroma...but not much there. Very tart lemon taste...almost like chewing on a lemon rind. Not bad, but just too much lemon for my tastes. Has a syrupy feel to it. I drank this for #600? Oh well.

Jul 9, 2007 This beer is an absolute mess. The tastes are muddled and uninspiring, and once the beer hits your tongue it goes absolutely nowhere. I won’t be having this again.

Jul 9, 2007 This is one of my favorites because its unique. It has a bit of lemon flavor over its wheat beer taste. The unfiltered yeast gives it a fuzzy sort of texture (gently shake up the sediment on bottom). I love it, but its not going to appeal to every one. Especially not american pilsner drinkers.

Jul 9, 2007 Something just isn’t quite right with this beer, even for an American Wheat. Quirky orange color clouded by some yeast. Thin filmy head with a few spots of lacing. Decent aroma with a blend of wheat and fruit. Minor trace of banana stands out and something else, perhaps apricot. Thin and bland on the palate with a filmy quality. Dull flavor especially compared to the decent aroma. Watery with a touch of fruit. Reminiscent of their No. 9 with the fruitiness. I keep getting a soapy flavor once in a while, very strange.

Jul 8, 2007 Bottle from trenton take out. Hazy golden pour. Odd hoppy aroma almost like an IPA with hints of wheat. Had an odd taste, a little thin for me but not horrible.

Jul 3, 2007 Poured yellow in color with an aroma of citrus. Didn’t have much of a head. Was not what I expected for a hefe. Seemed to have a watery flavor.

Jul 3, 2007 I am glad to read from others that this is not a good example of a hefeweizen. I can honestly say I would rather have a Budweiser. I will use this to make beer bread. It has been a very long time since I have tasted a beer this bad.
