Ungstrup (14758), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 3, 2007 Bottled. An unclear orange beer with a beige head. The aroma is sweet wheaty with light notes of banana, while the flavor is sweet wheaty, but more with notes of oranges. madsberg (4873), Søborg, Denmark Jun 2, 2007 Bottled. Orange coloured. Unclear. Dense off white head. Sweetness and light yeast in the aroma. LIght fruits are notable. Flavour is quite bland. Sweetness, fruits and light spice. Thin bodied. A bit citric. Ends on a light fruity note. MrBeer (276), Erie, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 1, 2007 Was not a fan at all. It seemed like they tried to add too much to the flavor. I was very disappointed. cewldre (268), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA May 31, 2007 Bottle from the sampler pack. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium white head that quickly dissipates. I notice a slight hint of lemon smell on the nose of this one. There is a slight yeasty smell in here as well. The taste is different than the smell. I notice a bit of a soft rye taste almost. Not sure there is a better way to describe the taste I am getting other than soft rye, so I will stick with that. I am not sure that this "hefeweizen" would be a great choice during a warm summer day at a picnic. MrBunn (1521), Western, Pennsylvania, USA May 31, 2007 Bottle. Pour is a somewhat hazy amber color. Head is about two fingers high and seems to be dying fairly slowly. Aromas are plainish... brass, wheat and yeast. Maybe a little light citrus. Flavor is a little bit sour, I can’t tell if it’s an intentional attempt at a bit of a lemony character (If that’s the case, Circus Boy isn’t pulling it off very well) or a little bit of a skunk (although this is unimaginable for such a young bottle... it says drink by July... it’s May.) At any rate, the sour character isn’t totally obnoxious... a little bit like a flemmish sour. green (187), Boston, Massachusetts, USA May 28, 2007 Aroma of yeast and spice. Light, almost weightless, mouthfeel. Touch of sweetness. Unpronounced flavors of orange and bread, a little acidic. Finishes mostly clean with a wee bit of citrus. bethmatt0421 (317), Covington, Kentucky, USA May 27, 2007 Small flavor of wheat but it comes and goes so quick its hard to pinpoint what you want to label it. Hefeweizen? Herb/Vegetable brew? The lemon zest is faint, and so is the fruity background. Not horrible by any means, just not "great." A good summer brew with its light body. bboven (103), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA May 24, 2007 Everybody said what I would have... There is a sour taste at the end and I’m still waiting for the yeast to show up in this wheat beer but it’s pretty tasaty. Just not to style.
