tagz (334), USA May 2, 2007 Updated: Oct 10, 2007cloudy gold/orange with small white head. slight citrus yeast aroma. taste is wheat, mild bitter hop, some spice. mod/high carbonation is the main detractor. its an decent mild wheat with some light pale ale qualities. not their best (and definitely not a hefe) but a decent session beer that i wouldn’t turn down. SwillNoMore (105), USA May 2, 2007 Poured from: 12oz bottle. Drank from: Duvel tulip. Temp: cellar. Best by: end of Jul ’07. Color: murky yellow-orange. Head: frothy, white, disappearing. Lacing: almost none. Aromas: herbal, lemon zest, secondary notes of vegetables and soap. Body: medium-light. Texture: light, with a touch of oiliness. Carbonation: average. Flavors: sweet n’ sour, with a distinct saltiness. Finish: short n’ sweet. Overall: better than fair, but not quite good. calvinist (32), Asheville, North Carolina, USA Apr 29, 2007 decent Hef. at best. I’ve had it with and without lemon. I prefer it with a wedge of lemon just to make it a little more palatable. I found that it really needs to be ICE ICE Cold to enjoy it the most. jblendy (518), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA Apr 28, 2007 Slightly skunky banana/citrus aroma, and flavor. Some sort of a light hint of spice in the finish, but basically just bland. Pretty much what I’ve come to expect from this brewery. doubelknv3 (559), Illinois, USA Apr 26, 2007 Lite citrus, grainy, earthy, wheat aroma. Cloudy golden-white with lasting head. Mild wheat, citrus, grains, and mildly sweet malt flavour. Smooth with mild bitter finish. Rvrndmaynard (47), Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, USA Apr 25, 2007 On tap at Mile Square in Hoboken. The taste of the lemongrass is good, and it really makes for a nice american hef. Crisp and refreshing, which in my mind is exactly what you want from a hef. swedishfish (29), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Apr 24, 2007 Pretty weak taste. Played beirut with it again and it was ok. I’d have it again though. Light in color, light in taste. Reminded me of light lemons. blinesam (233), USA Apr 21, 2007 12oz bottle at TJ’s. Great name, alright beer. Tastes like a sam adams summer ale with all the spcies, or like any summer beers. Not very refresihing. well balanced.
