Tastes like a sam adams summer ale with all the spcies, or like any summer beers. Not very refresihing. well balanced. drfabulous (1232), Columbia, Missouri, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 21, 2007 The old Sam Adams trick: give your beer different names, pretend they are different styles, but it’s basically the same. Hardly a Hefe. Tastes like a pale ale. Nothing special. redlem (1155), Illinois, USA

Yes I bought this in a 12-pack- spring, best by 7-07. All the beers in this 12 have been below average but to call this a hefe is a stretch. Whatever citrus aroma their is, is from the lemongrass they add during the brewing process. Whatever- the lack of head during pouring of this beer limits this to nothing more than a macro version of this style. Just one-of -four styles in this box-set that were a poor representation of said style. Boliv (190), New York, USA

Hints of fresh-cut grass, wheat, lemon; very summery. Nice flavor, very easy to drink, very refreshing. bbp182 (255), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 16, 2007 Pours a hazy golden with a small whtie head. The aroma has some spice, lemon and wheat. Flavor is light with wheat and lemon. JasonG (700), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 15, 2007 12 oz bottle: Pours a rather hazy medium yellow color with smallish pure white head. Aroma is fairly fruity, notes of red grape, honey, figs, fair amount of lactic acid, red wine vinegar. Flavor is malty, spicey, with black pepper, lemongrass, touch of apricot, honey, and a bit of lactic sourness. Finish is slightly sour, balanced. An interesting brew, I like it more than the group seems to, but definitely a departure from the standard either european or american wheat beer.
