I am not particularly fond of the Hefeweizen style, and this is an odd example. That said, it is drinkable.. Pookie9121 (87), Columbia, South Carolina, USA

Slightly sour smell. Flavor was not the standard Hefeweizen a little more citrius than i am accustomed to. Average beer all around. rds (226), USA

The color a cloudy gold color, is unfiltered, with a foamy white head.
The smell is lemon with a touch of hops.
The taste is bready, has a bit of a lemony tang to is and has slightly bitter
Taste: Tastes bready, with hints of citrus. Slight bitterness toward the end.
This beer is one of the better wheat beers I’ve ever had. It might be the best. I was pretty surprised that this beer turned out to be quite good.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 15, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy, dark yellow color with a moderate head. Aromas of bananas, lemongrass, and a hint of apple. Carbonation is surprisingly lively and unfortunately not a whole lot of flavor. The lemongrass comes through a bit but overall the beer is a bit watery for my taste. Not too much taste. williamherbert (466), Syracuse, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 12, 2009 The glowing banana yellow color of an unfiltered hefeweizen -- naturally. A big ol’ puffy, white ice cream float head. Hazy with bubbles. Quite possibly the ideal look of a hef.
Heavy bready wheat aroma, balanced with some light banana/clove flavor. Crisp malt, even a tad lager-y.
Sweet taste with lemon/orange peel. Slight flowery hops. Sour at first when cold, then mellows as it warms. Hops fade. Pleasant enough, I suppose.
Water and smooth feel. Sits on the tongue. A bit dull. A good summery drink. Slight but pleasant. Tastes just fine. DrnkMcDermott (1845), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 30, 2009 12 oz. bottle in hefeweizen glass. "Best by 6/09." Pours nice hazy yellow hefeweizen color, though head is big but too spongy for style. Slight lemongrass smell and just a bit of hefe esters. Lemon becomes more pronounced as I start to drink it, Now maybe this bottle is a bit old, ut it just seems to be a weak bottle version of a hefe that would be much better on tap. Last few drops in the bottle carried some trub flavor, though.
