kegoguinness (45), Dodge City, Washington DC, USA Apr 10, 2007 Updated: Apr 12, 2007Bottle: pours nice craggy head that clings to the side of the glass like a former miss America clings to the tattered remains of her dignity after too many late-night infomercial gigs. The mouthfeel is sprightly and good, and the taste is, well, inoffensive but unremarkable. Nice, easy drinking. It definitely wants world peace and an end to world hunger, just like Miss America. shigadeyo (2210), Harrison, Ohio, USA Apr 7, 2007 I have been wanting a weizen glass or two and recently purchased a couple Goose Island 312 Urban Wheat "ITS4U" glasses at River’s Bend. This will be the inaugural tasting from one of the two glasses...
4/06/2007: Circus Boy pours a cloudy golden marigold color with a think ivory head that leaves abstract lacing on the glass. The aroma has some doughy malt, wheat bread, lemon, and a slight yeast sourness in it. The flavor is similar to the aroma and dominated by wheat malt and citrus (mostly lemon). I am detecting a subtle corriander spice flavor as well. The finish has a delicate floral hoppiness and maybe a slight soapiness to it. This beer is crisp and lively on the palate. The body is medium and it has lots of carbonation (small bubbles though). Well balanced overall and pretty good. Quite refreshing. My personal opinion is that this beer is a bit under-rated...

Tmoney99 (4655), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Apr 3, 2007 Bottle. Poured hazy amber with a medium white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Medium aroma of wheat and spice. Medium body with soft carbonation. Well balanced wheat and spice flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderae duration. Average brew. kevd193213 (477), Hope Valley, Rhode Island, USA Apr 1, 2007 Bottle. Cloudy amber pour. Aroma of wheat and lemon. Very carbonated. Taste of lemon, wheat and some hops. Thin body. Not a fan of the style and this didn’t help. Ambrose (141), East Aurora, New York, USA Mar 29, 2007 Dah da da dah!!!! add a lemon and youre set. Good times in the woods in the middle of winter drinking this. trying to finish it before it froze in the bottle. mmm....lemony beer slushy. theviolet (168), New York, New York, USA Mar 28, 2007 Not bad. Nice color and an aroma of fruits and herbs. Almost no head, and no lacing. Mouthfeel is smooth and enjoyable. Tasted some alcohol on later sips. Flavor is good. Hearty, earthy, farm flavors I want to say. Pretty good beer, I could see myself buying it again some day. garrison (455), Cin. city, Ohio, USA Mar 24, 2007 From a twelve ounce bottle purchased at "Keller’s IGA" in Cincinnati, Ohio - This one poured a hazy golden brew with a bananas-and-lemons (!) aroma (as opposed to the usual bananas-and-cloves hefe smell) and a thin white head. Tastewise, it was "wheat sweet" with a very lemony finish, but somewhat lacking in body. frankenkitty (1900), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Mar 23, 2007 I felt a bit silly, yet I poured this 12 oz bottle into my 1/2 liter Weizen glass to find a light hazed, golden/orange body with happy streams of carbonation kicking around a few tiny chunks of yeast under an unimpressive white head. (This is "unfiltered"... seriously? Not even, like, once?) Aroma is dry and lemony with that lemongrass making a big first impression. It’s actually quite pleasant and relaxing... aromatherapeutic, if you will. Smooth and dry. The flavor does not have as much impact as the nose, with a watery, tart wheatiness before lingering lemons.
I was SO looking forward to this beer due to its f’d up name, and I’m happy to have tried it. It’s enjoyable (in moderation) to the avid beer-drinker who might occasionally enjoy a radler or a shandy. (I’m simply happy that I now have another bizzaro bottle to add to my collection.)
