ARMed (485), Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 25, 2007 I was disappointed with this hefe. The golden clarity was appealling but the taste was both tart and tangy. It lacked the complex richness of a smooth hefe, and was slightly more hoopy than a traditional german hefe. Funknmilla (577), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 14, 2007 Nice yeast aroma with a tinge of lemon...ive had this beer fresh from the tap last year at the Atlantic City Beer Fest and the lemon scent was more apparent then the bottle....cloudy peachy apperance...very little lasting foam action ...very light and refreshing...a bit of lemon..little bits of clove...a nice brew, light with a slight watery palate..perfect for a summer day 00cobraR (1096), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA Feb 14, 2007 Pours out a slightly cloudy golden yellow color. Small white head. Aroma is somewhat wheaty and citrusy. Flavor is very lemony. Blah. If i wanted a bottle of lemonade, then i would have bought one. I thought i was getting a hefe, but as the editors note states, its not. I love to be fooled. Nothing makes me more happier. Maybe they should consider changing the label. JonR888710 (999), Cochabamba, Bolivia Feb 12, 2007 Wheat beer indeed, but I agree with the editors note, it is very lemony. Fresh beer, remarkably perfect for warm weather, and probably the best beer I’ve ever had from Magic Hat, and it purely murders there Hocus Pocus wheat. dberger624 (1028), Phila, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 12, 2007 Bottled. Not a bad beer. Not enough "hefe" in this one for me. Little on the weak side. shrubber85 (2833), Wallhalben, Germany Feb 11, 2007 Bottle. Orange/lemon, clove and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy orange-yellow color with medium head. Lemon wheat malt flavor. Given the editor’s note, I bumped this up - it’s a pretty nice herb beer but wouldn’t really fly compared to most hefes. spector (906), Lancaster, Ohio, USA Feb 7, 2007 Slight malt in the aroma.Pours a very light copper with an off white head. Not much in the flavor, maybe some slight malt.Thin to medium mouthfeel with a sweet malt finish. moejuck (1165), Ohio, USA Feb 4, 2007 Golden color with a nlight lemon aroma. Medium palate. The taste is wheat, lemon and some yeast. Pretty easy to drink--but nothing special.
