swoopjones (1862), Buffalo, New York, USA Jul 20, 2009 Bottle. Pours a light pale yellow. Little aroma or flavor here. Citrus, wheat presence. little else. Boring. another sub par beer from MH canary dog (441), Rutland, Vermont, USA Jul 18, 2009 Not a hearty or particularly flavorful weiss. Kinda bland, but smooth and pedestrian finish. Doesn’t ask a lot from the drinker-- similar to Harpoon UFO. unclemike (834), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA Jul 18, 2009 bottle A dark orange apperance with a white head. The aroma contains some oranges and bananas. The flavor is somewhat sour with a bready presence. More bananas present in the flavor. The palate is rather thin as well. Overall not much to this one.
MrRoss (614), Delta, British Columbia, Canada Jul 14, 2009 Pouring a skinny head, barely a finger’s worth of foamy white over an orange body. Surely this is the darkest wheat beer I’ve come across. The aroma was simply "odd"; I just cannot get a handle on what it smells like. Not unpleasant, just hard to identify. Taste, well, could be some kinda spices resident but damned if I can tell what. This really is not a wheat beer, is it? Mouthfeel was the thickest and fullest of any so-called wheat. sinkhole (176), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jun 22, 2009 Pours hazy yellow with a decent white head. Aromas of lemon and wheat. Tastes of strong lemongrass which really tones down the bitterness of the wheat. A faint detection of a peppery spice. Finishes with a slice bitter wheat taste. Overall the beer is decent but not outstanding. ZR2Blazer (46), Roanoke, Virginia, USA Jun 3, 2009 Bottle - pours pale yellow with a long lasting white head and decent lacing. Lemon flavors with a touch of hops on the end, not strongly carbonated which I like. Whether this is a Hefeweizen or not, I think this is a good beer and would buy again. dnstone (136), , New Jersey, USA May 28, 2009 I didn’t care much for this beer first time around, but upon second taste I enjoyed the lemongrass very much. I find it fairly hard to screw up a hefeweisen.
