jimmack34 (560), Lancaster, Ohio, USA Mar 16, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours cloudy yellow/orange with a soft foamy white head. Smells of lemon, grains, and soured malt. Tastes of lemon, orange peel, the wheat flavor is a little funky, and some seasoning. The only reason this isnt rated better is because of something funky or sour. Like bad malt or slightly spoiled wheat. lemasney (398), Trenton, New Jersey, USA Mar 13, 2009 Style; glass: Hefeweizen; weizen

Purchased at: Canal’s Lawrenceville, NJ for $1.25 as part of a variety pack.
Aroma: faint, lemon, citrus, spicy, some slight sourness.
Visuals: fun intriguing packaging, body is hazy yellow, like a sandblasted sheet of gold, bright yellow color, hazy, under a bright white head, lace is minimal and fleeting.
Taste: very light, starts with a dull sweetness, middle is clean water, finish is short but enjoyable. Very little hop aroma or bitterness. Clean, refreshing, reminds of a light lemonade. Very drinkable, and clearly a session beer. At an estimate of 132 C each, I could have quite a few of these and not worry about gaining.
Palate: Starts quite wet, some sourness emerges, sweet brightness in middle, very clean water throughout, finish is fleeting and abrupt.
Overall: Clearly meant as a session brew, and it’s quite an enjoyable beer as such. I think it’s an ideal springtime brew, and a very nice ’lawnmower’ beer. nefarious (202), Clarkston, Michigan, USA Mar 12, 2009 Goldenslightly orange pour with a slight white head and very carbonated. Nice lemon cirtus and malt aroma......same with the flavor. A touch of sweetness and bitter hop at the end. Very smooth finish as well. This is a very solid aand well done beer. ben4321 (957), Rockville, Maryland, USA Mar 8, 2009 Location: Not sure where I got it originally, I believe I first had this out of a 12 oz bottle summer of ’08
Overall Impression:
Relatively boring Hefe, some lemon, cloudy yellow color, not much else. Another Magic Hat beer thats below average for it’s style... theisti (1640), Leawood, Kansas, USA Mar 6, 2009 12 oz bottle courtesy of Dansting. Please drink by the end of March 09 notched on label. Pour is mostly clear pale golden with a 3 inch white head. Head falls without lacing. Fair amount of fine carbonation is visible. Aroma lemon-lime citrus, some sweet sugar and in the back some grainy wheat. Fresh smelling, but perhaps a bit to sweet sugary for me. Taste is a bit gentler on the sweetness, though stronger on the lemon citrus. The grassy wheat takes over in the middle, and lasts long through the finish. The wheat is a little cardboard and waxy. Palate is thin, on the watery side. Highly carbonated, easy to drink. This is a simple and satisfying beer, thanks for giving it to me Dan. zappafan99 (462), South Carolina, USA Mar 5, 2009 Taste 3/9 Bottle. Looks: Cloudy yellow gold with white foam. Aroma: Spicy and orange peel. Taste: Spicy, lemon and some orange peel. Decent body and flavor. BroSpud (584), , Massachusetts, USA Mar 1, 2009 Bottle. Part of a Magic Hat mix pack. A good wheat beer but not one that I was really that into. LawBadger (24), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Feb 27, 2009 12 oz bottle: Pours a cloudy golden yellow with some carbonation and a thin head. A nice wheat aroma with lemon. Tastes like its aroma - wheat and lemon with a very slight hint of citrus. Goes down very smooth but not watery. A solid hefeweizen - better than good but not quite great.
