3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 jhumphries69 (1035) - Tyrone, USA - AUG 29, 2008
12oz bottle. Pours a deep yellow/straw with a slight haze a very large, fluffy white head that fades quickly. The aroma is quite wheaty with a touch of caramel malt, some spice (noble hops), and a subtle lemony note (almost like a cool, though not minty, lemon zest) which must be from the use of lemongrass. The flavor starts wheaty and quite malty with a delicate touch of flowers (from the combo of noble hops and lemon zest I assume). At mid-tongue, there is a crisp bitterness - though not too firm (it is a wheat beer after all) - that is floral but at the same time almost soapy (maybe it’s just me - perhaps I use too much lemon-scented soap). The finish is dry and refreshing with a subtle hop/lemon flavor and subtle flavors of fresh-baked bread. The mouthfeel is lavishly carbonated and crisp; the body is medium (a little thin perhaps). Overall, a tasty and delicious twist on a hefeweizen. It isn’t quite like an authentic hefeweizen (missing a lot of the characteristic weizen yeast esters and phenols) but is made interesting by the use of lemongrass.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mcmisko (113) - - FEB 4, 2012
Nothing special, but this is a pleasant wheat beer. Simple and straight forward with citrus fruits and malts. Has a decent mouth feel, and after taste is fresh. Not bad.
2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20 FudgeSociety (243) - Florida, USA - JAN 9, 2012
The most neutral flavor beer I have ever tasted. Some grass flavor and aroma and that’s it. Goes down easy as hell.
2.6 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 BelgaBart (37) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM, BELGIUM - DEC 28, 2011
I got this beer through a American friend. This is a good excample of a hefeweizen beer, nothing very special. But, it is a very nice/good beer. Would never refuse it ;-)

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Pawola22 (1977) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 23, 2011
12oz bottle from Wegman’s in State College, PA. Pours a cloudy, orange-gold colored body with a finger-width, frothy, off-white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing throughout. Aroma has some crisp wheat and grainy malts with a light sweetness as well as a decent lemon-grass and a touch of herbal hops. Flavor is similar. Crisp, lightly sweetened, balanced mix of grainy wheats, lemon-grass, and a touch of yeast before this finishes dry and very lightly bitter, but crisp with a touch of herbal hops before leaving a medium length aftertaste following a light body and a lively, medium-high, refreshing carbonation. Overall, an easy drinking, crisp, balanced hefe. Not the most flavorful or complex, but far from terrible. Not bad.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 sloshgator (10) - USA - DEC 11, 2011
Pretty decent Hefeweizen. Slight citrus and banana flavors although a little understated. Not as much yeast qualities as I like and expect.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 boxofrane (197) - pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 11, 2011
Bottle. Pours a clear yellow with minimal head and no lacing. Smells sweet but no distinct types of malt or hops present. I’m not the biggest Hefe fan but this is a pretty good offering. Very light.. with a citrus (light) taste and virtually bitterness free. Enjoyable but not a great winter choice.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 shonobiwan (57) - Sound Beach, New York, USA - DEC 7, 2011
Long Island, NY - 12 oz. bottle poured a clear golden color with slight head and no lace. As you bring it up for a sip you get a hint of sweet malt. The taste is initially sweet followed by a slight bitterness with a malty flavor. Overall a decent offering from a large craft brewery but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get some of this.
