muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA Oct 7, 2004 Bomber, as "CuriouserAle". Unfiltered, thick orange-salmon color; aromatic, spicy, only slightly fruity nose, hints of juniper. Very distinctive, sourish flavor, spicy and heavily carbonated...I would say, at first bite, more herbal/vegetal than fruity; definitely not over-sweet like many in the style; quite interesting if not exactly great. tiggmtl (4179), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Sep 4, 2004 Wheat is noticeable in the aroma but fresh raspberries are the star. Opaque rose coloured with slight white head that recedes (perhaps the fruit impedes head retention). Slightly tart raspberries with plenty of wheat character. Same medium body with fluffy, wheaty, mouthfeel and lively carbonation as the regular hefe. All in all, the fresh strong raspberry flavour and aroma make this very enjoyable. On tap at the brewery (during Vermont Brewers Fest 2004).
