Bottled. A black beer with a huge dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, butter, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, butterscotch, roasted malt, and a bit of caramel, leading to a dry finish. Thanks joergen for sharing.

Svart med brunt ganska stort skum som lägger sig snabbt. Doftar choklad, kaffe, hö och banankaka. Smaken är tyvärr inte lika bra som doften, för tunn. Kaffe, mineraler, metal, choklad och övermogen frukt.

Pours dark brown with a small, light tan head. Aroma is dominated by roasted malt and smoke. I can’t really pick out any hoppy smells. Taste is somewhat weak, at first light caramel malt sweetness but actually feels watery. Towards the finish, the bitterness starts picking up but it’s more like a lager bitter than an IPA bitter. Body is light, with fairly strong carbonation. I’m wondering if something’s wrong with my bottle because I don’t really know why anyone would willingly brew an IPA to be like this...

TEJA (2420) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 14, 2012
Bottle from Systembolaget, Sweden. Dark / brown short head. Almost totally black color, one of the darkest beers I’ve had. Big aroma of both dark chrystal malts and dark roasted malts. Much dark roasted malt taste that isn’t balanced with any body in the beer and makes it one sided.
