COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dream Machine, an India Pale Lager or IPL, is a melding of varied visions of an India Pale Ale and an Amber Lager. Once poured, its light copper color delights the eyes and a citrusy hop aroma flows through the nose. Upon first sip, a smooth hop bitterness reveals itself - fresh, bold and slightly spicy - before subtle hints of mild maltiness appear. A big hop bite and a crisp, clean lager finish combine for a beautifully balanced beer. Take Dream Machine for a spin and let your reverie begin.

Bottle. I’ve only had a couple IPLs but I can actually say I think I like them. Gold color with a nice head. Aroma is light spice and hints of citrus. Taste starts off with a IPA taste up front but ends in a nice, crisp pale lager finish.

Excellent and moderately priced IPA. Not spectacular but definitely above average. Magic Hat is a solid label with great style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

My bottle shows this as "Magic Hat Dream Machine IPL." Smells beery, as my friend cheap might say. It gives a nice pour, deep golden body with a decent white head and sheets of lace. The aroma, as stated above, is beery with just a bit more citrus hopping than one would expect in a premium lager. There’s a touch of caramel corn in the flavor, fortunately supplanted by citrus hop tastes and a moderate zesty bitterness. This is a decent enough brew and I’ll mayhaps drink it again, but I won’t be seeking it out.

Bottle. Hard to tell color but appears hazy. Nose of hops, grapefruit.in the mouth reliably unremarkable. Grapefruit hops his in back and lingers. Sorry of an overly hoped ale or ipa lacking body.

Pours a clear orangish amber. Some citrus on the nose, hints of orange peel and coriander. Medium bodied, decent carbonation. The hoppy bitterness only comes out at the back of the tongue; the rest is a creamy sweet mouthfeel that overwhelms the hops. This hybrid style leans too much toward the citrus.

Office Party, Pours orange with a white head. Aroma is mild sort of nondescript hops with some citrus and meh all over. Taste is slightly bitter. Doesn’t really rise to an IPL or a strong lager in my opinion. Not enough caramel for a vienna. It really doesn’t do much in any direction.

[Bottle] Lighter shade of amber without much head to it. Nose is of grassy hops, citrus and lighter grainy notes. Cracker, citrusy hops, floral notes and biscuit in the taste. Average carbonation level. No real off flavors here, but it could be one of the most middle-of-the-road beers I have ever had.

Tap. Pours crystal clear pale amber, medium creamy off white head, nice lacing. Aroma is light, a bit of citrus and pine. Flavor is more floral, some butter, pine. Light sweet, medium bitter, rather harsh on the finish. Light plus body.

Appearance: Nice golden-straw color. some head (about a finger) with a moderate amount of carbonation rising and a good amount of lacing. Aroma: Citric and hoppy but a little less so than a lot of IPA’s. Slight grassy aroma Taste: Not overpoweringly hop-tasting but a fair amount, more on the back end. Some malt and a taste lemongrass. (As the beer warms it taste more like an IPA) Palate: Medium feeling with a good with an average amount of carbonation. Overall: Very nice beer with a nice balance of hops.
