3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 6/2/14
Aroma: The nose is clean, light hops, citrus, grains, and some pale malts
Appearance: It pours a cloudy gold-orange color with a thin off-white head and light lace
Flavor: The taste is similar, but a touch dull, with a mix of citrus hops and pale malts
Palate: The body is light, it has an average-to-lively carbonation, and a light dry finish
I thought this one was a decent, light, but unoffensive offering. It drinks decently enough, and has enough flavor to be a decent session as well (though technically not low enough in ABV). Not a favorite for me, but not bad.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Clear ruby tones with a short and patchy head. Aroma is strongly dirty with heavy notes of yeast, paint, cosmetics and yogurt, with fainter off-notes of burnt corn kernels and butter / sweat (diacetyl), fruit esters of pear / fruit cocktail. Malt shows itself as dry pet food mix, red apple skin, nuts, and caramel syrup... hop aroma, which should be the focus here, is a limp heap of leaf vegetables / spinach and maraschino cherry and cedar / pine. Sweet with metallic off notes, medium-light body, watery, under-attenuated, lightly bitter... butterscotch, dead yeast, hemp, burnt nuts, cosmetics, DMS.... piu what a dirty beer!

Pours a clear light amber/copper. One finger is lingering off white head. Aroma is malty and hoppy. Flavor has some caramel and sweet malt. Slightly fruity. Pine. Medium bodied. Finishes really clean nice beer. First in this "style."

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Magic Hat Dream Machine IPL has a thin-to-medium off-white head, a mostly clear, copper, bubbly appearance, and some decent lacing left behind. The aroma is of hop oil and sweet grain. Taste is of floral hops, some hop resin, sweet grain, and medium-baked bread crust. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Magic Hat Dream Machine IPL finishes crisp, easy going, and refreshing. RJT

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft. Dark golden pour, medium white head. Aroma was citrus and a little malt. Taste was hops, mostly citrus. Some earty tones and malt. A bit thin, but overall smooth. Good beer but not great. Leans more towards an ipa.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a deep golden with a thick white head. Hops on the nose with a slight citrus flavor. Thin mouthfeel with a ton of hops and a citrus finish. Not bad, but I’ve had better.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Slight hop nose. Starts like a pale ale, finishes like a Yeungling. Not my favorite.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz into a glass. Pours a cloudy hazy and distinctly bronzed gold copper. Plenty of lacing, soft white and mellow. Head is medium and light. Aroma is wheaty, soft hops, pine, and no scent dryer sheets. Taste is like a wheat IPA, fresh, bitter hops, a very dry peach factor, and smooth earth soil touch. Bitter and dry all over, refreshing but still dry. Dry after finish. Not bad

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. I’ve only had a couple IPLs but I can actually say I think I like them. Gold color with a nice head. Aroma is light spice and hints of citrus. Taste starts off with a IPA taste up front but ends in a nice, crisp pale lager finish.
