COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A golden haze for a summer’s daze. Elder Betty is a weiss-style ale with a bready malt flavor balanced by a touch of hops and complimented by the tart berry flavors of elderberry.

Bottle - pours light orange with a faint whitish head that dissipates almost immediately. Aroma is quite heavy on the fruit, though the fruits themselves are somewhat hard to distinguish. Definitely some wheaty notes coming through as well. Flavor is, well, not half bad...slightly cloying, but not offensively so. Lots of berry-ish notes, an underlying wheat component and pretty much no hop note whatsoever. Palate is easy drinking...far from complex and lasting, but it is what it is supposed to be! Would I drink this all the time...no. Would I have it again...sure!

12oz bottle, thanks to Greg. Thin white head, quickly fades to minimal. Bubbles on the side of the glass. Hazy amber / golden color. Crisp carbonation (burpy), drier finish. Interesting aroma, wheat flavors, with some sort of artificial-tasting berry in there. Some floral, soapiness. Not a bad flavor, but a bit light overall. Light sweet. Not bad, not great, better stuff out there

12oz bottle. Cap read, "I’m exactly where I want to be." Pours hazy orange. Tall, white, fizzy head. Aroma of malted wheat, tart berry perfume, and elderberries. Tastes of tart blueberries, sweet wheat malt, hay, and earth. Oily extract character, a simple fruit,Wheat Ale. (3401)

12 oz. Draft at Bottle Shop. Sweet berry scent like flavored bubble gum with a sour touch, cloudy orange pour with decent head, light and crisp mouthfeel, and a berry wheat fronted taste with a cantelope melon finish.

Bottle: The aroma consists of cotton candy, light sweet tarts, and a touch of wheat. It pours a cloudy golden-orange with a small white head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. The flavor starts with a light quick dose of cotton candy and elderberry. The finish has notes of light wheat, grass, and cereal notes. It’s light bodied with lightly fizzy carbonation. Overall, it’s an unoffensive thirst quencher.

A hazed lightly reddish amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, a smooth chalky malt wit light berry notes. In mouth, a sweet caramel malt with light raspberry notes and light butterscotch. Tasted at Raquette River Beer and Wine Fest, July 13 2012.

The beer pours a hazy orange color with a white head. The aroma has a nice blueberry and elderberry character, as well as some wheat. The beer smells fairly juicy overall. The flavor has some tart berry notes, as well as some wheat. The fruit seems a bit artificial and is very sweet. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Better than I expected, but nothing to seek out.

Enjoyed straight from the bottle on a warm afternoon standing in front of a grill with a buddy. Great summer flavor.
