Bottle in NYC with Sander. Pours cloudy orange with a weak, white foam head. Nose holds lots of blueberries, some doughy bread. Medium sweet flavor, sugary dough, blueberry muffins. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sugary finish, more blueberries and elderberries, some blueberry pancakes, muffins, dough, bread. It’s OK.

Bottled. Poured cloudy medium golden with a well-retained off-white head. The aroma picked up sweeter berries and tangy wheat.. nice balance. The flavor found wheat and a pinch of honey at the core, with mostly sweet berries emanating outward (some tart seeds as well).. finished with a good combo of sweeter berries and tangy wheat. Light-bodied with tight-bubbled carbonation on the palate.. good feel and flow.. this was better than expected.

12 ounce bottle from the summer sampler. And somehow Magic Hat gets to be my 5200th rating. How’d that happen? Pours an almost murky orange color with a thin white head. Poor head retention. Aroma of wheat and berry-flavored Life Savors. The taste is wheat, citrus, banana, berries. Medium bodied and highly carbonated. I kinda like this beer, but that doesn’t mean its good.
