12-oz bottle from SS ’07. Pours hazy orange with a small, rocky, off-white head, somewhat lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (grain, meal), average hops (grass), average yeast (dough) with notes of paper and apple. Light bodied, slick texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish, kind of wet and spicy palate. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness; husky grain and tea flavor with raw hop leaf at the end.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Dickinsonbeer (5077) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - DEC 2, 2002
Nice light amber/bronze color with small head. Some hop aroma, but a good hop bitterness in the aftertaste. Nice malt flavors also. Slightly above average for an english style pale ale.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 JPDIPSO (4957) - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 4, 2005
Dark golden to amber color with a smaller off white head. Real english nose, with some toffee and hopsack aromas. Light dry malt in the front with more sweet malt as it continues. Again some toffee and a touch of mild licorice and herb. A touch strong in the finish, but a rather pleasant english ale.
