BREWMUSKCLES (758), WEEHAWKEN, New Jersey, USA Mar 28, 2008 altogeather it was refreshing lightly hoppy and a bit watery. with adequate tastes it was decent. the malt was ok i guess and the beer was a weak interpretation of some of the good qualities of a pale ale (for an american brewer. for an english brewer it was quite flavorful and quite enjoyable for the lack of sweetness +2 points for that!)
EithCubes (1804), Indiana, USA Aug 12, 2008 Bottle - appreciate the subtle artwork. Dusty malty nose, a bit of grass and dark caramel, funky hops but not in spades. Hazy amber pour with a soapy tan head. Taste is very dry, slightly dusty and a bit dirty, some caramel and earth. Lasting hoppy dryness long after. Not very crisp, but still somewhat sharp. Chalky citrus, lightish medium body. The taste is somewhat lacking here, but the feel is absolutely superb - really feels like it’s cleaning out the mouth, implores you to have four or five more. Moderately refreshing, would have again. darn1207 (254), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jul 8, 2008 12oz bottle from random store in manhattan. copper yellow pour. off white head. yeasty and light hop aroma. caramel and malt flavors. moderate sweetness. light bodied. fairly bland. K-5.5 Underhook (104), Lincoln Park, New Jersey, USA Jun 27, 2008 Updated: Jun 29, 2008Says they’re retired, but they’re still available here for now. Pours flat brown. A hoppy aroma that is relatively weak. Taste is that of a standard pale ale, but a bit hoppy. Hops don’t seem forced. Smooth drink. Pretty average, take or leave beer. derst27 (30), Hackettstown, New Jersey, USA Jun 18, 2008 Definite hops, but a more smooth hops taste as opposed to many other hop infused ales. The rich golden brown color screams hops and delivers with a fruity aftertaste. The aroma is a rich fruity combination that comes through well in the beer. Tasty slow drinking beer... NaturalIce (78), South Orange, New Jersey, USA May 15, 2008 Bottle - poured out with a thin white head. Sweet aroma; somewhat hoppy. First Magic Hat experience and I’d have to say it’s a lot sweeter than I expected. Watered down Sweet & Sour flavor with a very subtle bitter finish. "Decent."
