Our inky-black, oatmeal stout has a smooth, round palate with a dreamlike undercurrent of bittersweet chocolate. This dense liquid-silk summons hope from hibernation and balances winter’s endless white snows with a rich swirl of creamy black rapture. Available in the Winter, reintroduced in Winter 2012 after a hiatus.

Pours a dark brown with almost no head (just very little beige bubbles that disappear in an instant). Faint hops on the nose but it's mostly dominated by chocolate aromas. Drinks with a bubbly light-medium body. Again chocolate comes through with coffee alongside. Finishes a drop bitter with a roasty linger. Overall for me: a very middle-of-the-road stout. Nothing to write home about. For the money I'd take Trader Joe's Oatmeal Stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Wow talk about dark. The appearance is so black you can see a sheen of purple in there. Great heavy stout for those colder than cold winter nights. Leaves a little bit of a metallic after taste which is not appealing. But a good stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Frothy dark brown head. Pitch black appearance. Roasted malt and coffee aroma. Initial taste, is roasted malt, toasted bread, and coffee then fades into a sweet molasses like taste, finishing with a bitter and smokey palate. A sweet stout, not too overpowering in anyway. Medium length finish. Medium creamy mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Too toasty. Very nice. Entered this beer on a different app and I'm not able to import my comments unfortunately.

Pours dark brown, with a tan head. Aroma of malt, molasses, and carmel. Taste is rich and slightly sweet, with good maltiness throughout. Very drinkable, a thumbs up from me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
