COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Filled with the howling of black dogs that haunt the long forgotten shadows of the human soul.

Our inky-black stout had a smooth, round palate with a dreamlike undercurrent of bittersweet chocolate. This dense liquid-silk summoned hope from hibernation and balanced winter’s endless white snows with a rich swirl of creamy black rapture.

Bottle. Pours nice and dark with a decent head and aromas of toasty malt, chocolate and dark fruit. Flavor is a charming mix of chocolate and toasty stout Flavors. Mouthfeel is fairly silky and finish is sweet and chocolatey.

Smells of mild roasted barley and iced coffee. Tastes like smooth, slightly sweetened coffee. Mouthfeel is a bit thin and carbonation somewhat prickly.

Deep black with very little red tinge when held to light and a tan head, sadly very little aroma so my hopes got down down the beer. Unfounded was my doubt it is a blast of bitter near burnt grain, toast, spices and even note of orange and anise.

12 oz. bottle. Pours inky black with a thin beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate and oatmeal. Nice semi sweet flavor. Silky smooth palate, although a tad thin. Delighted to see that Magic Hat has brought this back.

Never thought I was a fan of stout, but this is damn good. Milk chocolate foamy head, chocolate is evident in both aroma and flavor. A nice full flavor with a hint of bitter finish.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a moderate off-white head. Lots of roasted notes to the nose of this. Not what I expected for a sweet stout - more roasted and coffee notes to it than anything else. Tasty, though.

Deep black with ruby edges. Interesting aroma a little smoky and toasty but a slight sweetness as well. Flavor is lightly sweet with a nice lingering finish. Decent beer.
