COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Filled with the howling of black dogs that haunt the long forgotten shadows of the human soul.

Our inky-black stout had a smooth, round palate with a dreamlike undercurrent of bittersweet chocolate. This dense liquid-silk summoned hope from hibernation and balanced winter’s endless white snows with a rich swirl of creamy black rapture.

From a 12oz bottle into a pint glass. Bought at Weggies. Pours a very dark black but still slightly opaque. Brownish head and a good amount of lacing. Mouthfeel is moderate. Taste is cola, chocolate, dirt and coffee. Overall a decent but not memorable beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark black pour. Light head, some laceing. Barley, hops with. Touch of coffee on the nose. Coffee toast chocolate. A touch of bitter citrus in the after taste. Not very smooth for a stout. Good beer, not great. A bit disappointed as I am a fan of magic hat.

Bottle poured a pitch black hue w/ a large tan creamy head slowly diminishing to a cap w/ good lacing. Medium aromas of mildly sweetness, roasted cereal, chocolate, roasted coffee, and vanilla. The taste was a roast forward, but not heavy handed, allowing the other flavors to be enjoyed as well to include: sweet malts, chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Medium to full bodied, creamy texture and soft carbonation. I’m glad they brought this beer back into the rotation, it is an enjoyable stout.

Dark brown with a beige head. Initial aroma of sweetened cocoa, quickly followed by mild notes of chocolate and roasted malts. Felt it was somewhat simple and thin in terms of body and texture. Little alcohol presence.
