COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Filled with the howling of black dogs that haunt the long forgotten shadows of the human soul.

Our inky-black stout had a smooth, round palate with a dreamlike undercurrent of bittersweet chocolate. This dense liquid-silk summoned hope from hibernation and balanced winter’s endless white snows with a rich swirl of creamy black rapture.

Had this out of a bottle. Poured nice. Head was a little thin i thought. Aroma smelled of slight chocolate and mild roast coffee. Appearance was dark but when held up to a light a lot came through. Mild carbonation which was expected. Taste was lightly sweet. some bitter chocolate. Slight creaminess. Balanced with hop bitterness. Not a bad stout overall.

355 ml bottle. Clear, dark brown body with a medium sized, lacing frothy tan head. Nice and gentle aroma of dark malt, mocha and milk chocolate. Flavor is sweet and smooth in the same direction as the aroma indicates. Silk smooth with mild balanced bitterness. Fine body and good aftertaste. Avery nice stout indeed.

2014 bottle to a tulip glass. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma is dark malt with a little roast, dark chocolate, and a little tart cherry. Taste is a roasted, almost charred malt, milk chocolate, a little coffee bitterness at the end. Not much sweetness. Ends a little tannic and vegetal. Has a medium, slightly rounded mouthfeel with a good amount of carbonation and a bit of a sting to go with it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is not great and it’s not bad either. Some roast malt notes with some sweet raisin elements as well. The body is sweet and thin and has a lingering sweetness.

Looks like a cola. Dark brown withno head and lots of bubbles bursting at the surface. Nutty creamy aroma. Flavor is raisin and coffee. Body is thin. Fruit forward and not a lot else. Not quite sweet, but I think diacetyl is making it feel richer than it should be. Exactly what I picture from a Magic Hat stout.

12 oz. bottle. Chocolate and malt are evident. A bit watery, not mixed well.

Bottle. Dark pour with tan head. Smells of dark malts, chocolate and coffee. Tastes of dark chocolate, coffee, slight smoke and slight sourness. Pretty good stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light cannot penetrate this stout. Murky , squid-ink black. Think death in a glass. A nice coffee left-over. I would place this on the desert beer list. Yes, after a good prime rib sit back and sip it. Certainly not a high-alcohol stout. Good for sissy-pants whom are just wetting their pallets. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a dark black with a 2 finger khaki head with decent lacing that hung around for a little while. Notes of milk chocolate, sweet grapes, roasted malts. Taste same as aroma but roasted malts more pronounced on the back end. Smooth creamy mouthfeel though. Wish it had a bit more body but not complaining. Very drinkable stout.

Bottle. Nothing too exciting, just your average stout. Too thin of a palate for a stout. Some notes of bittersweet chocolate and roasted malt. Funky nose.

12 oz bottle from Evergreen Discount into a pint glass. Black appearance with light sediment. Light brown head that diminishes to a thin ring and leaves light lacing. Aroma of milk chocolate, roasted malts, coffee, light vanilla and light fruits. Similar flavor, rich and fairly sweet, with light bitterness. Medium body, smooth and creamy with soft carbonation. Pretty straight forward stuff, but it works for me.
