hopscotch (9242) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - OCT 7, 2010
Bottle… Clear, brilliant amber ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Good retention. The sweet, fruity aroma offers freshly baked black bread, biscuit, tropical fruits and a subdued note of medium sherry. I’m unable to pull any smoked malt out of this. Medium to full-bodied and fatty with tingly carbonation. The flavor leans sweet, but there’s some nice bitterness that keeps the sugar under control. Bittersweet, malty finish with a kiss of honey.

The taste is caramel, toasted malts, grassy hops and a faint bit of green apple. Thin-medium bodied. Decent.
