2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A reddish-tan ale with a frothy white head. I know it sounds odd but a spicy melon on the nose with a smooth-sweetness on the back of the palate is delicious thing. Medium bodied and lingering finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Golden brown pour, small white head.
Cucumber aroma with notes of sweet floral esters. Flavor is more cucumber, with a fresh hopiness of grass and pine. Very smooth with a dry finish.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours copper with perfect head. Nose is like a watermelon jolly rancher. Flavor is a bit funky. You do get a ton of cucumber. The aftertaste is a little foul. Bitter and floral.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Wegmans Leesburg. It pours a darker amber than I was expecting from a hibiscus cucumber beer. There is a short lived white head. The nose is very floral with cucumber and melon rind notes. The flavor is a very odd mix of strong floral, cucumber water, and honeydew rind. The floral bitterness overrides the malt and cucumber. I want to like it because itís different, but itís just not all that tasty in my opinion.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market Charlottesville. Pours a hazy dark amber color with a large foamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of cucumber and hibiscus which combine to form watermelon candy with a bit of a spiciness. Some caramel malts in there as well. The taste is strong, bitter and herbal cucumber, spicy hibiscus notes in the finish. Muted caramel malts. Certainly an odd beer, but itís solid.

This is a love it or hate it beer. Unfortunately i hated it. The cucumber is intriguing but way too much in the end. Even if you like it you cant have more than one in a day

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The HiCu pours a mostly cloudy yellow orange with a thick foamy off-white head that lasts a long while and leaves excellent lacing. The aroma is very vegetable heavy. The flavor is cucumber and the hibiscus standing out with little surprise. Overall this is a decent beer. I believe they achieved what they were going for but you have to be in the mood for a vegetable beer.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
12 fl. Oz. Bottle. Pours clear copper with a small white head hardly any lacing . Aroma is mostly cucumber mixed with some malts. Taste is sweet caramel, combined with cucumber some yeast and some floral notes. Interesting beer, glad I tried but I donít think is my type of beer; however very refreshing and will do good on warm days.
