COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hi.P.A. is a medium-bodied groove with a fresh and fruitful nose of tympanic temptation. It begins and ends with a big hop bite that is itself forever balanced on the brink by a steady rhythm of malt. Dry-hopped for extra quenching in the face of heat and beat, it’s an ideal accompaniment to chilling out, turning inward or sailing onward through the music of the night toward the dawn of the mind. It’s the liquid way to say be here now lest you never come this way again.

Sulphury, golden ale aroma with some rye overtones. Foggy, light gold, big white head. Not sure what the woman with blue intestines or giant blue Jelly Bellies has to do with beer. Perhaps I need to expand my mind. Generic golden AIPA flavors - cascades, lemon zest. Macaroni notes. This is the 2nd beer tonight that I’ve picked up pasta in - not sure what’s going on with my sniffer. A little bland, but inoffensive. Not mind-blowing, heh. ABC Liquors, Bull Run.

På fat. Gulorange lätt dimmig öl med vitt skum. Humle med blommighet och viss citrus både i smak och doft. Bra balans mot maltigheten. En "middle of the road"-IPA. Lättdrucken.

Bottle. Pretty average IPA. Could almost be a macro brew. Not really worth a go. Great label art though.

Long Island, NY - 12 oz. bottle poured a darker, hazy golden color with a little white head and moderate lacing. Aroma was a citrusy delight along with pine. Taste is dead on for a generic IPA, but better than I was expecting for Magic Hat. I like this beer and it is a good bang for the buck. Good job on this one Magic Hat -- Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma quite fruity at first, but don’t inhale before you sip. Ick. Nice color, moderate head at best. Taste leaves something to be desired and lingers in a not so good way. Not terrible, but not especially good.

Pours a very cloudy gold with a thin cream (almost tan) head. Hints of citrus and some other fruits I can’t put a finger on. Wonderfully bitter-sweet! It has a very nice balance. The body is somewhat light with a bit of a sticky texture that you would expect from an IPA, but the finish isn’t as bitter as I have come to expect from many IPAs. The last bit suites me just fine. I am not a big fan of tasting a beer 5-10min after I have taken a sip. I want a beer that hangs around just long enough for me to want that next sip. This one fits the bill quite nicely with as a very pleasing overall IPA.

Bottle; cloudy golden, cloudy, with small white foam; aroma-citrus, floral, caramel, grass; taste-medium sweetness, medium bitterness, medium body, lively, bitter finish. Very good and accessible IPA

Onslow (1162) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - DEC 27, 2012
Pour from a 12oz bottle. Slightly cloudy pal amber / yellow brew. Mid sized white head. Hoppy aroma - resin, floral. Taste is very hops forward, hops front to back really. Nice resin core with floral and a little lemon and citrus mixed in. Light bodied, clean and refreshing. Enough malt to keep it from being bitter, but definitely malt takes a backseat to the hops here. Solidly hoppy but still fairly delicate and light. An iron butterfly of a brew...
