COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hi.P.A. is a medium-bodied groove with a fresh and fruitful nose of tympanic temptation. It begins and ends with a big hop bite that is itself forever balanced on the brink by a steady rhythm of malt. Dry-hopped for extra quenching in the face of heat and beat, it’s an ideal accompaniment to chilling out, turning inward or sailing onward through the music of the night toward the dawn of the mind. It’s the liquid way to say be here now lest you never come this way again.

Thanks to VENOM for this unique IPA. The bottle has an interesting trippy feel. Pours a bright clear orange color with a very thin off-white head. Thin and quick lacing. Aroma is mostly hops and fruit, along with something that smelled like Starburst candy. Crisp and clean and a nice level of hops in the flavor, but every once in awhile a strange cotton candy-like flavor would seep through. Still it is very drinkable and a decent IPA. I look forward to trying more offerings from this brewer.

Bottle. Orange/caramel malt and orange peel aroma. Golden yellow color with large white head. Sweet orange-caramel malt and lightly bitter orange peel hops flavor. Very good.

Marvelous hoppy aroma, citric lemon fresh! Very clean, medium bodied IPA .Nice bitterness that stays on you lips. Give long lasting impression. Nice clean styled example.

Poured light copper with off white head that lasted less than a minute. Initially the aroma seemed slightly spicy like a chili pepper. Behind that is sweet maltiness. The taste starts with a medley of spices that I can’t distinguish. I swear I taste chili powder. After that are light floral hoppiness and some sweet maltiness. Interesting brew.

355 mL. Pours a hazy light amber with a good two-finger, tan, fluffy head with great lacing. Very nice aroma of citrus hops, orange peel, peaches, and some caramel malt. Taste is nutty and buttery with some grapefruit and orange peel alongside skunky malt and stale hops. Dry hoppy finish with lots of peaches. Not bad. Unusual.

Bottle (12oz). Clear bubbly gold with a small white fizzy head. Moderate resiny hoppy aroma, some tropical fruit sweetness. Sharp fizzy taste of sweet hops, some sugary malt and light treefruit, but the hops do dominate after a bit, getting almost unpleasantly bitter. Mouthfeel is light-bodied, fizzy and somewhat harsh - not a great IPA.

Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy light amber, dense tiny particles, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately hoppy (resin, pine), moderately malty (cookie, toasted bread), with a note of apricot. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic, lightly astringent. Rather typical American IPA without too much to separate it from the middle of the pack.

Bottle. Pours a very hazy orange amber color with a medium beige head that falls off rather quickly. Lots of little sediment in here, though most of it is obscured by the near opacity of the beer. Burnt grain/nut smell on here that is a bit off putting. Some sweet candy and malt smells, but not too much citrus. Light and a little yeasty with a little tang to it. Finishes with a bit of a bitterness, but not much. If I had this blind I don’t think I’d peg it as an IPA. It’s a tolerable beer, but not one I’d really want to drink again, and not one I’d want to drink if I wanted an IPA. No hoppy citrus/pine nose, no big grapefruit bitter… just a lot of let down. Ended up dumping most of this. Not worth finishing.
