Commercial Description:
Hi.P.A. is a medium-bodied groove with a fresh and fruitful nose of tympanic temptation. It begins and ends with a big hop bite that is itself forever balanced on the brink by a steady rhythm of malt. Dry-hopped for extra quenching in the face of heat and beat, it's an ideal accompaniment to chilling out, turning inward or sailing onward through the music of the night toward the dawn of the mind. It's the liquid way to say be here now lest you never come this way again.

Very cloudy golden colour with off white orangish head. Aroma had a mild hop flavour to it with a hint of citrus. Flavour is a medium hop bitter and has a bit of a citrus floral underlying punch to it. Decent body for the type of beer.

Pours yellow-orange with a fine white head. Aroma is lightly grainy and hoppy. Mouth feel is moderate. Flavor is very hoppy, but well balanced with a sweet maltiness.

Fresh citrus nose with some apple. Not very hoppy but smooth and refreshing. An average brew.

On tap @ The Edge in Wintergreen Va. Pours a clear copper color with a small white head. Smells of citrus and lightly floral notes. Tastes of hops with a slight bitterness and a clean finish. Standard IPA, nothing special.

Pours clear gold into the glass with a white head. Aroma is grainy and weak in the hops department. Flavor is somewhat citrusy and fruity with a bit of bitterness towards the back end. Palate is smooth and dry on the end. I’m really surprised this brew is near 7% because nothing about it seems to reveal that.

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass, a pretty cloudy amber-straw color of medium darkness with a thinner foamy off-white head that had modest retention. An interesting aroma that consisted of a heavy blend of citrus, pine and light grainy hops, with some lighter fruit tones, particularly a hint of cherry. The taste is sweet for just a brief time then quickly switches over to a bitter, grainy hops flavor. The body has good wetness and is pretty thick and full throughout the mouth, but yields to a drying finish going down the throat; pretty smooth without much carbonation. A solid beer at a pretty reasonable price, not bad!
