COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our take on the classic summer wheat beer...it’s a light, crisp ale for mowing lawns, hitting lazy fly balls and communing with nature. Glowing like brilliant rays of golden sun, its malty sweetness finishes tart and crisp. Hocus Pocus is best appreciated with a wedge of orange. Offered as a sacrifice to cloudless days.

Bottled. Poured cloudy lighter golden with a tall, creamy, sticky white head. The aroma picked up bright earthy wheat and orange zest, with faint undertones of band-aid.. smelled like it was going to be drinkable. The flavor found tart wheat, orange zest, and white spices throughout.. honey and generic pale malts supported.. tangy finish with orange rind and residual grainy sugars. Light-bodied with fairly high carbonation on the palate.. tangy and engaging in spots, but too many grainy sugars in others.. overall very drinkable, but not necessarily good.

Bottle from a sampler. Pale straw color with a fizzy, fast dissolving 2-finger head. Wheat and slight grass aroma is very faint. Grassy, citrus taste. Fairly pleasant.

Pours a copper color with a decent off white head. Smells of wheat, lemons, hay, fresh cut grass. Tastes of lemons and chewable vitamins.

Dogbrick (6015) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUN 29, 2007
This beer is a clear golden color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily. Spotty lacing. Light aroma of wheat and citrus. Light-bodied and citrusy with some mild wheat and malt flavors. Clean, fruity finish with a touch of hops on the end. Clearly meant to be a lawnmower beer, but that is no excuse not to throw in a little more flavor.

Bottle (12oz). And I promised myself no more goddam american wheat swill. Pale slightly hazy gold, decent bright white head. Aroma of light sweet grain and dried flower hops, a hint of fruit and yeast, but not much at all. Taste of light candy malt, a little sour grain, mild yeast and candied citrus fruit - sort of hard to swallow for some reason. Thickish, still body, sticky mouthfeel - weird, not awful, won’t have it again.

Ernest (5609) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 13, 2006
Blind rating, bottle. Head is initially small, frothy/fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (grapefruit), lightly yeasty (dough). Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Not much going on to talk about.

tap@mugs. i thought magic hat would come up with a better wheat than this. i assumed it was an attempt at a wit as it was pale, slightly hazy, lightly lemony with some nasty traces of laundry detergent in the finish. thin and boring

Bottle. Pours an orange amber body with a white head. Wheat, citrus, floral grassy hop character with no alcohol in the finish. eh.

BBB63 (5406) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - DEC 30, 2007
Bottle and served in weizen glass: First bad news in that it pours crystal clear with a quickly fading fizzy head and minimal lace. The aroma is light wheat and pale malt, some lemongrass and herbs, and a hint of DMS and buttery vapours. The taste is simple mild doughy malts with just a touch of fruity acidity and some diacetyl. The mouth feel is sprite and watery with a thin body. Yet another piss poor American Wheat Ale, pass.

This wheat beer pours a medium yellow gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head, quickly dissipating, with good lacing. Aroma is sweet and bready and a touch floral. A light to medium bodied American Wheat. Malts are fruity, citrusy and a touch malty. Hops are slightly grapefruity. Light and refreshing. Crisp and clean. This is a nice summer beer. Good balance with lively carbonation. Great beer for a warm summer evening, there is some malt, hop and other flavor to this beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
